    Hey guys,

I need advice. Whenever I abstain, about a week into abstaining my depression becomes so overwhelming. I think about killing myself constantly and cry multiple times throughout the day. I am aware that my brain is screaming for PMO to feel good and I know that depression is a side effect when you remove PMO from youe life so my question is how do you guys cope with the depression? It is consuming my life and I need some techniques or psychological tools to deal with this withdrawal symptom. I've been through this many times unfortunately so i do have experience with it but I am interested to hear if others have some tricks or knowledge that perhaps I haven't thought of yet that can help me cope. Thanks in advance.

We are dealing with powerful hormones that distort our sense of reality. It is not easy but together we can do it.
When depression comes i try to SLO down and to take care of my body in a healthy way. I try to get the dopamine without destructing myself. Sport hobbies music
In the end I often come on the forum to get in contact with the community that helps me to understand our disease.

    I send you hope

Because it is sometimes to difficulties I also use fasting that I find calms the mind and the urges.
But in the end nothing can survive without do above all I try to nourish body and mind healthily.

Try the Wim Hof Method. Google it, and try it. It involves cold showers and breathing techniques. My experience with this method is really good. I never had depression so I have no experience there. But the man who invented this method (and many other) cured his depression (and many other things). I cured my bad digestion

Thanks bro, I have. Opened up to my parents and seeing a psychologist now. Just wanted to see whatever words of wisdom other people had for me.

  9. Watch your diet as well.

Try to avoid fructose (commonly found in fruits), this simple sugar binds to tryptophan and robs you of serotonin in the process, especially if you have elevated estrogen levels. Serotonin is a key neurotransmitter when it comes to fighting depression. Tryptophan is a precursor and the most important building block for sertonin. So sugar quite literally steals happiness.
If you're in withdrawal you're without a doubt deficient in certain mood enhancing nutrients and minerals. You need to cut out things like coffee, processed beverages, refined sugars and junk food in general.

The most important supplements you can take to fight feelings of depression or anxiety are B1-B3-B6-B12 vitamins, D vitamin, zinc and magnesium. Chances are pretty high that you're deficient in every single one of these.

Other than that you'll have to give it time. Withdrawal is a big shock to the nervous system. Being in direct sunlight and getting some mild exercise are all beneficial.

Bro I had the same question. I actually went to the doctor and he gave me some antidepressants to help with the depression.

Yeah when you are depriving your mind of the dopamine rush it has become used to, depression seems inevitable. All I can tell you is no matter how depressed you feel, do NOT relapse. You will feel 10X worse. The best tool I have for dealing with negative emotions is meditation. It's not for everyone, but it could maybe help you in learning to observe negative thoughts and emotions and learn to sit with them til they go away. But whatever your strategy, just get one. Keep reaching out to people in the anti-PMO community, keep reading their stories, keep journal entries so you can see your progress, and that should help too. If you keep your streak going, your dopamine receptors are supposed to heal and you will start to feel more normal.

  12. Well,I do exercise and meditation for this depression problem.Plus listening good music is also benificial...

Thanks for all the replies everyone! Really means a lot. Flatline is so just so hard to cope with and this is probably my 6th flatline after failing and trying to quit permanently over the last two years. It's crazy how the chemicals in your brain and get so screwed up. The brain fog and low dopamine is literally the worst thing ever.
