NOFAP ISN'T JUST A STREAK, WAY OF LIFE

Hello people, check this out. If you want to quit PMO you will have to understand. NOFAP ISN'T JUST A STREAK, IT'S A WAY OF LIFE. By saing that i try to tell that if you will try "no PMO" that you will keep failing. What you have to do instead is focus on the good "yes" thinks in your life what you usually said "no" to. Instead of doing not to much sitting in your room and rewarding yourself. So you will have better life + nofap.
    Have a nice day.

Definitely bro, it's become a lifestyle for me. I've started getting up early and instilling good habits into my life, and my streaks just come naturally from not having reason to fap. The monk mode lifestyle is the best!

Gotta be the guy with the unpopular opinion :). Streaks are extremely important. Especially for recovering addicts. To me it seems that I made the most rebooting progress after 70 days or so. That was when I reached most of my milestones.

  5. Yep,No doubt man.Nofap is not about a streak its a life style:)

I will agree with you long term, however, short term, I have to agree with @overclocked. There are reasons addicts use streaks in their 12 step programs. It would be great to be able to quit your addiction the first time you attempt it. But it took me 2 serious tries to quit smoking 18 years ago after I smoked for 9. My first relapse was after I quit for 3 months.

Also, this isn’t the first time I have seriously tried to quit porn in my life, but it’s the first time since I’ve found this board. I’m actually doing better (especially considering I’m single) because I have these resources, and knowing I’m 8 weeks clean helps me a lot. I have moments of weakness where I want to slip up, but my streak is one of the things I use on here to keep Me going.

Anyway, I believe now a long streak will eventually evolve into a lifestyle change, but if you told me after 7 days of being into my streak that a lifestyle change was how it has to be, I probably would have been overwhelmed and relapsed. People should use their streaks to discover the benefits of nofap. Especially when they have spent most of their life PMO’ing. They probably don’t remember what life was like before, or never even knew what it was like before P.

Couldn't it be both the streaks and the lifestyle?

The way I see it, as long as we encourage each other and seek to improve ourselves, it doesn't matter which aspect the site is about. After all, NoFap is a web forum for sexual health, neither a streak or a lifestyle.

If focusing on one or the other helps, though, do it!
