Hi, could rebooting process cause any unknown pain in thighs, the area under belly, lower back, testicle..?
In my first streak which lasted two weeks I felt a little ache in those parts in the second week but I wasn't sure if it is because of the rebooting process or because I had lifted some heavy stuff... Now I'm on the second week of my second streak and I feel it is happening again!
Btw sorry if my English is not very good. it is not my native language

Tons of people have experienced physical withdrawal symptoms, and I’m sure that’s what you’re experiencing. You’re not alone. PMO addiction greatly affects the mind and the body in various ways and when you deprive your body of that habit it goes into “shock mode”. You begin experiencing many of the same symptoms a crack addict goes through during withdrawal. It’s normal and part of the process. It’s not easy at times but it does get better, so just stay strong and stay the path.

Thank you for the response. I wanted to make sure everything is OK in there and that I wouldn't need to visit a doctor for that ache!

Don't worry buddy... I had severe pain in testicles and near thigh area after first 10days steak, I got afraid and relapsed. But later I got to know that this is normal. Now I have started again and its been almost 2weeks, now pain is very less, I guess our body needs to adjust with new normal. So hold on few more days and avoid the mistake i committed. GOOD LUCK!

    It absolutely can.

I had those symptoms during all my withdrawal phases, including muscular pain to the legs, sometimes it was difficult even to get up from a chair, same thing for my lower back, belly and to a lower point the testicles.

Ok im three weeks and the last 7 days have been a roller coaster. Muscle cramps, inability to focus, headaches, etc. Yesterday my sense of balance went crazy! Is that normal? I'm 48 and had been watching Porn since about 13 (!) with the last year being particularly bad. I could just have a cold hitting me but is this normal?

I had all the symptoms you just descrived, and many others, it is normal, withdrawal symptoms are terrible, be prepared.

  10. Don't ask me why or how but I've even had kidney stones after each relapse. Withdrawal messes up chemistry really bad. Not just in your brain but all over. If anything it shows how bad porn, masturbation and addiction to it really is.

  11. It's no wonder relapsing and edging before this streak has burned me out...

I happened to felt hurt at one of my testicle. About a year ago, suddenly I tried to quit watching porn&masturbating (I haven't known about NoFap at that time). About a week later i felt hurt on my right testicle, it was really hurt
that i couldn't walk properly. I came to a doctor, and he said it might be varicocele (but thx God it's not). And then i thought maybe it's just all the jizz get stuck at the testicle (cus it's swollen) , so i tried to masturbate. It did worked, but i continue to masturbate since that time till today. And today i've just found you guys, hope i can quit this addiction too.

That’s known as blue balls. Tons of guys get it while trying to abstain. Has something to do with the blood flow that causes an erection not leaving the area right away when you don’t release. But it’s perfectly normal. Don’t let it stop you from quitting PMO…

well this is starting to scare me :p lol I had no idea Nofap could have such withdrawal symptoms. Yesterday and today I did not have that pain and today it is just usual urges for PM. So lets see how it will go in following days, it is just the second week :D hopefully this rebooting wont kill me! lol

  18. Strange! I never experienced any such pain! I had blue balls from time to time but they have gone away after a couple of hours...

I quit smoking in the past and it's nothing comparable to quitting pmo. You don't have withdrawal symptoms quitting smoking, and there are various stories about cocaine and heroine addicts who say that withdrawal symptoms quitting pmo were even worst than withdrawals from quitting coke and heroine.

For me the worst phases have been at about day 50, 70, 100 with more or less two week each of bad withdrawal symptoms, the last one being the worst, from day 95 to 110.

The withdrawal phase length changes from person to person, but it can last between two month and one year.
Right now i'm out of the last phase, but for what i know i can still have another, so i keep my guard up.

Thank you Mattew. I have a question. Have you been on an absolute PMO mode during your 124 rebooting period ? Did not you have things like watching something at least erotic or edging or something? I ask cause it seems to me almost impossible to stay away from erotic scenes in videos and I dont know if I should change the counter to zero and like start the whole process from the very beginning or not. Have you felt any positive changes yet or not?
