    Hello!

    As the topic says.

Do anyone here suffered/suffers from Anhedonia?

I'm almost 100 days in and I have some success. Now I'm in a flatline and the Anhedonia is back.

Should I take this as a sign that the brain is rewiring?

Any tips regarding this would be really helpful

I am pretty sure this is normal. It ups and downs are many in this reboot.

Yep I'm dealing with it, but I think it's slowly starting to fade away after about a month and a half.

Did you overcome Anhedonia after 420 days of nofap?

All the time currently. Seems to coincide with a massive increase in anxiety/stress for me. Invariably it seems after three weeks into every reboot I’ve attempted thus far the withdrawals hit me like a freight train. Most of my hobbies are completely meaningless to me during this time, which is one of the hardest things for me in dealing with this…

I think I had anhedonia to some degree for the better part of two decades. It got especially bad a few years ago. It was one of the reasons I thought I was clinically depressed and started seeing a psychologist again, but she said I only scored slightly elevated on the depression scale. Now I think it was connected to PM. Since I've cut those out it's been easier to enjoy things and I don't quickly lose interest the way I used to.

It is clearly better but not close to 100%. I have read that people have success with: Zinc, mucuna pruriens (but I don't want downregulation of the receptors) and NSI 189.

I myself got better with taking a multivitamin that contains iron.

    Thinking of trying NSI 189..

I think that Anhedonia is the brain going in to recovery mode because of long stress on the brain due to traumas in life (family tragedies etc.).

If you are lucky, NoFap alone can get you out of anhedonia. If not, we need to find something to jumpstart the brain again.

Has anyone here who's experienced anhedonia also had problems with avolition (loss of motivation)? They went together for me. I frequently had trouble working up the motivation to do even smaller tasks until there was a looming deadline. It's been improving in parallel with the anhedonia.

I do, and it is everything due to taking olanzapine just for 2 months. I'm starting with NoFap again and fasts. I feel completely the same as you 0 motivation. So this is a flatline even before starting.

I have a extreme loss of motivation. It's wierd, I have the energy, but don't feel any drive at all to do anything. I think it's common with anhedonia.

  17. I have had it for years and its because of fapping. When I quit PMO I usually start to feel better around 100 days. Then the anhedonia will start to lift and I can feel normal emotions again. It feels like a rebirth. Then BAM I hit flatline again with anxiety, depression around 120 days. Then I relapse and have good PMO binges and then the anhedonia returns full force. I never made it past 120 days.

  18. Loss of motivation is part of anhedonia. I have not felt motivation in years. I felt motivation in 2014 when I made it to 120 days. After that I relapsed and never made it past 50 days since then. Its all PMO related for me.

PMO has a big part of it, but it can also be a prolonged stress causing the brain to go on recovery mode due to traumas in life.
