Talking About Past - Good or bad for recovery?

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Oct 10, 2018.

  1. I find that it is really helpful to come here and talk about my experiences since I can never share these things with anybody i know.

I find that i enjoy sharing my experiences. Do people here find that sharing their past experiences openly help there recovery or leads to relapses?

Personally I do not know, i only just shared my experience of how I got into trying to quit porn in the first place. I would imagine that if u find someone in a similar situation as you maybe it would not make you feel alone in when dealing with your problems.

  3. It’s helpful in the sense that it’s comforting to know others are struggling with the same issues I am.

Occasionally I do find myself getting aroused reading some other people’s experineces. That’s when it’s time to refocus and stop reading.

  4. I guess it's better coming here and sharing then watching porn and relapsing!

  5. I am starting to think I've had more experiences then most, or different kinds. Or maybe I am just being really open here. At one point, as an example, I was curious about Indian women so I saw a bunch of them. Never really got excited by Asians but visited a few at massage parlors. I did visit a male Korean spa once though. Actually twice.
