    Today was day 7 for me. I feel like I am just limping by, fighting off stress and mild depression -- maybe not depression necessarily but definitely impostor syndrome.

    Just joined here, awesome stuff!

    Porn has been plaguing me since 12 years old - had some friends expose me to some hardcore stuff, and the usual "you haven't masturbated yet??!".

    I figured it's about time to take a rehab seriously by connecting with others. I've always tried to quit and it's an unnecessary struggle. Soo....I'll be posting here everyday.

    Just had another masturbation session about 10mins ago (I do around 4 - 5 sessions per week, one session per day - mostly night time.) I genuinely hate porn and pretty much use it as a stimulant then it's off - I couldn't watch it in my normal statement "none dope-feenin' mind".

    I Have a beautiful wife, a happy marriage (we have great sex and very much in love), 2 beautiful children and a good business.

    This is just one of those greedy habits that have plagued me for years and turned into an acute addiction (because I can't kick it permanently, even though I'm not chronic and it doesn't have any noticeable effect in my sex life from my partners perspective - although I'm sure the absence of it will have an amazing effect.)

    Thanks guys, hopefully we can all overcome this together.

    I welcome all your advice and help.

    The first task is to get to day 14. I used to play professional basketball, so hopefully this kind of format will bring the competitor out of me.

    Going through a tough time. I don't expect to have urges anytime...as I'm feeling pretty down. But... I can't complain. My significant other is in much more pain.

    Don't think too much about it, enjoy life as you recover, get yourself busy. If you tell a man not think about a pink elephant, the picture of a pink elephant comes in their mind, so focus also on other interesting activities in your life as you recover .
