There too, consistency is rough. I think giving myself specific tasks to complete at night in a specific order helps, also doing something that exhausts you a bit mentally isn't bad. What's worked for you?

Meditation takes us from survival to creation; from separation to connection; from imbalance to balance; from emergency mode to growth-and-repair mode; and from the limiting emotions of fear, anger, and sadness to the expansive emotions of joy, freedom, and love.

if you were to start investing your attention and energy into the unknown, your body would then be able to follow your mind into the unknown—a new experience in your future.
Joe Dispenza, Becoming Supernatural: How Common People Are Doing the Uncommon

But how do you and I become supernatural? We have to begin to do what’s unnatural—that is, to give in the midst of crisis, when everyone is feeling lack and poverty; to love when everyone is angry and judging others; to demonstrate courage and peace when everyone else is in fear; to show kindness when others are displaying hostility and aggression; to surrender to possibility when the rest of the world is aggressively pushing to be first, trying to control outcomes, and fiercely competing in an endless drive to get to the top; to knowingly smile in the face of adversity; and to cultivate the feeling of wholeness when we’re diagnosed as sick. if you can experience a healing over and over again in the inner world of thoughts and feelings, then in time, that healing should finally manifest as an outer experience. And if you make a thought as real as the experience in the external environment, shouldn’t there be evidence in your body and brain sooner or later? In other words, if you mentally rehearse that unknown future with a clear intention and an elevated emotion, and do it repeatedly, then based on what you’ve learned, you should have real neuroplastic changes in your brain and epigenetic changes in your body.

    1 day completed.
The last ~ 3 months I gave up on NoFap. Not being able to break my relapse cycle (for those who remember it) was very difficult. NoFap was always on my mind, though. Anyways, I am in a happy relationship since ~ 1 month ago and I talked quite openly about masturbation and porn with my gf. It turns out that she also dislikes it and stopped it a while ago. I hope that the additional emotional support from her, as well as a new channel to use my sexuality productively will help me to make progress with no PM. The O is reserved for her ;)
It feels good to be back on this challenge, and its great to see how persistent some of you are :)

    My Journal
    DAY 0/365:

I'm clean from pmo since May, 25th this year if i don't take the spontaneous ejaculation in account on day 103 (when i removed my counter), and i learned so much in the time i've been here over 1 year now... (October, 8th, 2017)

I need to do this challenge for myself to enter the next phase: a lifetime long "being clean" from this addiction and lust.

I know it will be very , very difficult, and sometimes i'm scared i will give in if i'm honest... This will be the "year of truth" for me, i truly believe i can lose this addiction forever...

Mentally it's hard to think "1 year" ahead for me, but that's part of the challenge, because to really lose pmo forever, we need to think "day by day" imho, not focusing on the end goal but go about a better life day by day, every day again :)

    Let's do this, Monday 12/11 will be my day 1/365 ! :):):)

I think it depends on the person and their 'world view,' so to speak.

I remember a while back before I joined nofap, I had a period in my life where I was free of this stuff for a considerable period of time. I wasn't counting days or anything so I can't be sure how long it was, but it was over 9 months for sure. It's hard to really pinpoint cause and effect, but looking back, I have been trying to reflect on what I had been doing then as opposed to now. In retrospect, one thing that stands out is that for the hour before midnight, I would pray every night. This is probably antithetical to many people on nofap and I don't bother to try to to assert it very much, but I think prayer can make a difference.
