But I wish it was. I don’t judge anyone that does it. I seriously considered it but I decided it’s not for me.

While always allowing for individual differences, my sense is that this is dangerous at best. More specifically, it places one right in the middle of a context that I imagine would be challenging for any recovering addict: a context ripe with potential for shame, secrecy, regret, and a whole range of 'iffy' behaviours.

I have never been a fan of hookers. I think its not exactly the same as masturbation, but its close. It will never be as fulfilling as getting a girl that truly likes you. Are you sure youre not in a hurry?. Be patient, some real connection might be down the road.

 

I'm a cop on the drag so I see these girls a daily basis. They are addicted to drugs with most having at least one communicable disease. Many are exploited further by pimps and dealers. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying you're the worst person if you use a hooker but work to be part of the solution not the problem. I find it ironic that guys make all these positive changes and clean up their lives then go and risk it all (STD's, MRSA...) for a quick fix. Just my two cents.

I'm not trying to sound like a negative Nancy, you're a grown man and can make your own decisions. Beyond what I posted, another angle on this is that NoFap is exponentially growing (I believe around 100,000 members? between the websites). I think we can agree that this is likely to get pretty mainstream in the next couple of years. I don't want to be associated to a movement that on one hand speaks about treating women with respect and dignity and on the other hand litterly paying them for trial and error for our erections. We're all on a path to be better men, let's keep that path both mentally and morally right for those that come after us and reads this stuff.

To finish on a happier note, I think you should absolutely be trying to get yourself out and there and meet women and if they're willing then give it a go then start rewiring, just be cognizant of what you want that wiring to look like.

 

I agree mate. Positive changes like cutting out P, exercise, gym and things like learning an instrument or language. Things that are good physically and mentally.
