Losing hope. 2nd long streak, ED still there - Trouble rewiring or Nofap not working?

History: 26yo. 10+yrs of PMO, unable to lose virginity on multiple occasions due to ED.

This is my second long streak (50 days). Previously had a 100+day streak. Have noticed tiny changes, with flaccid size a bit larger and sporadic weak erections, occasional morning wood and the rare wet dream. All the major benefits have come to me on the non-ED side (energy, drive, mental clarity). I don't crave porn at all anymore along with recreational drugs, video games and TV shows which tells me my addiction might be cured

However I am now in a relationship and am still unable to get hard enough for penetration. The girl has so far been supportive but I am afraid this may not last. I get erect (but not hard enough to penetrate) with 50mg vi*gra around her. When I am alone I get similar erections without the help of pills but they disappear within a few seconds. I have not experienced a 100% hard erection for almost a year now (my nofap journey) - does this indicate I am still in a very long flatline or that I need to be doing other things to rewire to a real human? Does the fact that I can only get weak erections when stimulated (and using pills when I am with the gf) indicate any sign of progress? When I was fapping to porn I remember having random hard boners daily which have disappeared since i started nofap. I do not want to try fap to porn to see if my dick even works as I don't want to undo any progress. Besides upping the dose of vi*gra/trying other pills i am at a loss of what to do

It IS possible that you're still flatlining. I believe I've heard of men who flatline for up to 8 months before they start having erections again. Mine only lasted about 3 weeks my first time through, but when it was back it was by no means a complete transformation, it was just back in normal working order.

Congratulations on your streak, though. I say keep at it, because all that matters is the possibility of having a human sexual relationship. You've already established that your brain on P doesn't work for it, so you owe it to yourself to spend the next 10+ years figuring out what DOES work.

I feel back to normal/better in every other way though apart from the libido/erections. Is that still indicative of a flatline or do I need to push myself harder to rewire possibly with the use of stronger pills? It's so frustrating and depressing that after all these changes I have made to my life the one goal that I started out trying to achieve still eludes me.

Anybody know if having weak "soft/flaccid" erections is just my body responding slowly and a sign that nofap is working or could it point to a physical problem after 200+days of no porn?

  5. You wrote 10 years PMO, maybe you got hooked on some fetishes?

In my opinion you can still suffer from PMO, even if you not feel like you have urges. If i find myself unpatient with rebooting I fill with some color two columns in excel. One for how many months i was active addicted to PMO (16*12=192 months), then the other columns with "6 months" height, since im free.

Kinda shocking to compare, but helps.

I wasn't hooked on anything exactly but yes my porn tastes did get more extreme and towards the later years I did have to concentrate to maintain hardness even when PMOing. But my issue right now is that I have stopped porn for ~10 months and don't even get cravings for it anymore including things like video games, TV shows so that tells me that I should be over my addiction. But still no satisfactory erection and libido so I am worried that I need to search for another problem or focus harder on rewiring

  7. 13 months and still flatlining myself. It takes as long as it takes. A ten year habit won’t cure overnight.

  8. I understand your worries, all of us go throught this. It is normal to have these. Do not forget that no cravings does not mean you are cured. Craving is just one symptom of addictions, so those neural pathways still sitting in your brain ready to fire if you fall back to the old habits.

If you ask me extreme porn addicts = long time rebooting.

Have you ever taken antidepressants, or antibiotic, something against hair fall, or against skin problems?

My other question do you feel your back hurts, or stiff sometimes, especially low back?

Never taken any of those drugs. My back does pain sometimes but it's very minor. Why do you ask?

It's so disheartening seeing all these posts on here from guys in long flatline. Very few posts of those coming out. Do you have similar symptoms to me? I have all the side benefits such as mental clarity, drive, increased energy and testosterone. All except for a healthy functioning erection :(

  11. I must say I was severe in my prime and had weird symptoms a good few years back without me realising it was withdrawal. I have noticed a slight improvement in cognitive function. Drive is slowly coming back. I’ve been in a flatline for years because that’s what relapsing does in my experience which is put me back to square one. To truly recover from this shit porn must be out of the question indefinitely.

  12. Have you tried memory training for cognitive function? For me dual n back, and Dominic method( with other name memory palace) helped to improve cognitive function to be able function in university again. There is also "Memory Games" app for android. At least i understand again what i read.

  13. Those medicines can cause low libido for long time. I asked about back pain because if your sacral bone in right place and your low spine is fine then the blood flow improved to the penis, and balls. Not a huge effect, but noticeable.

I am going to see a urologist in a few weeks. Will ask for a physical examination and there is also an artificial erection test with a doppler ultrasound that will help identify any physical issues. I am unsure about the pelvic floor and sacral bone that you mention but will also ask about that

Hi, I have similar issues and used to take antidepressants long time ago (2 years ago) and I do actually have lower back pain. But I had it before starting nofap and I did not have any erection issues then. So is it just long flatline? Could it also be related to having a new partner? Could there be “addiction” to long term partner that takes time to “reboot”? Thanks much.

  16. So if I understand well you did not have erection problems after stopping antidepressants. I guess these mean those can not cause your erection problems. As I know if the antidepressant causing erection problems then it becomes obvious while you taking it, or after stopping it in the next months.

Low back pain can be factor in your erection problems too, but I do not think it is the biggest problem. Many people report low back pain at first become more evident with nofap. I guess it is because the withdrawal puts our body in stress state for months, and that effect our posture.

I would say it is flatline because its started with nofap. Also new partner can be reason too if you got performance anxiety.

  17. Nah man I WAS THERE, LISTEN!!

Its not a flatline, its not a pied now, nothing from that.

What it IS, is that u need to REWIRE.

And that is done by trying again and again and again!! U need a good partner who can wait for you, and a partner u can trust will not run away on you!!

It took me at least 2 months man! U just need to get your penis in her vagina, it will happen one moment. Than u will get soft. Than u try again and repeat it day after day. U will find a possition in which u can do it the best. Than try it ad nauseum.

Than u will notice u can stay hard for longer and longer. Than u will notice that u can get there all the time. Than u will find 2nd possition where it works. And u just do this!!

Rewire ur brain from your hand to your girlfriends sweat suggerwalls :)

Thats it. If u are heavy fapper, long term, and u have very little sexual experiences, this is the way!!!

Stay strong man, its possible, I did it.

Been wanking for 20 years 4 times a day and almost a virgin at my age 35. Cant get harder than that but I freaking did it godamnit and so can you!!!!!!!!

  18. took me like a year with a couple small slip ups last time. Do hard mode, orgasm will set you back. Trying to force penetration with a half-limp dick is not a good idea, Ive been there. Consistent morning wood is one of the signs of recovery.

  19. Just abstaining from P will not heal u. It just cuts the wrong neural paths. But than u need to create the right ones. And that includes what ive described.
