Joe Dispenza, You Are the Placebo: Making Your Mind Matter
So if you understand this model, then you should agree with me that your new thoughts should lead to new choices. New choices should lead to new behaviors. New behaviors should lead to new experiences. New experiences should create new emotions, and new emotions and feelings should inspire you to think in new ways. That’s called “evolution.” And your personal reality and your biology—your brain circuitry, your internal chemistry, your genetic expression, and ultimately your health—should change as a result of this new personality, this new state of being. And it all seems to start with a thought. A

This proved that by taking the placebos, the patients had been creating their own endorphins—their own natural pain relievers. It was a milestone in placebo research, because it meant that the relief the study subjects experienced wasn’t all in their minds; it was in their minds and their bodies—in their state of being. If
Joe Dispenza, You Are the Placebo: Making Your Mind Matter
So by nature, most of us are thinking in the past, because we’re using the same hardware and software programs from our past memories. And if we’re living the same life every day by doing the same things at the same time, seeing the same people at the same place, and creating the same experiences from yesterday, then we’re enslaved to having our outer worlds influence our inner worlds. It’s our environment that is controlling how we think, act, and feel. We’re victims of our personal realities, because our personal realities are creating our personalities—and it’s become an unconscious process. Then that, of course, reaffirms the same thinking and feeling, and now there’s a tango or a match between our outer worlds and our inner worlds, and they merge and become the same—and so do we. If

Because of the size of our enormous forebrain, the privilege of being a human being is that we can make thought more real than anything else—and that’s how the placebo works. To see how the process unfolds, it’s vital to examine and review three key elements: conditioning, expectation, and meaning. As you’ll see, these three concepts all seem to work together in orchestrating the placebo response. I

  7. Day 2- Two days without PMO and already I am feeling very good. Maybe its because I am doing some impossible things that I never thought I could accomplish. I decided to challenge myself using the Impossible List template by Joel Runyon (https://impossiblehq.com/impossible-list/) since the beginning of the month by starting with smaller 'impossible goals'. I have to say I have accomplished some really cool things (in my own eyes). Never in my life have I woken up 7 consecutive days at 5:30 am. Now I can't stop waking up early no matter what time I sleep. If I could only schedule my day properly. Never have I done 40 push ups in a row. Never have I done 7 chin ups in a row. Never have I taken cold showers for 10 days in a row. Never have I read a book in a one week. Now I have accomplished all this. I have never attended a networking event until today and it feels great to meet new people yet I feel so anxious. This networking event has made me realize I need to get rid of PMO for good. I met a really beautiful lady and I was almost lost for words. Well, almost. I managed to salvage the situation. Good thing is I didn't try to impress her and pretend so much because that is not what brought me here anyway.

I want to challenge myself and change how my brain works. I want to change my outlook to stop looking at things as impossible but as doable as long as I am committed to the cause.

I think by focusing on avoiding porn constantly, I end up thinking about porn most of the time. So focusing on accomplishing other productive things and in this particular case focusing on accomplishing 'impossible' takes my mind off PMO.

    Day 17/365
    .
I have been fapping for 8 years. This is really a problem . It has disconnected me from my inner me. When i came in high school ... I could not even feel the emotions .. Seriously... I m not joking .. I couldnt cry .... I couldn't t feel confidence... I couldn't t feel if i was confidence.... I could not feel the fear ... Fapping has snatching my life force from me...
    .
And later it developed the knee pain which is still there for 4 years...
    .
Now, i have been avoiding PMO for 2 month.. Slipped once 18 days ago.
Then started again with my dedication... I also noticed that writing here.. Also helps me.
    .
But todays topic is not this one.
As this is my 17 day.
Yet i have experienced wet dream twice.
Now i suddenly started feeling emotional outbursts not once or twice its three times when i was listening songs .. It was like i would definately cry now.. But i was in public place so i kept controlling it..
    .
Looks like all the emotions buried down in my deep soul for the 6 years are coming out now... If anyone experienced similar issue Please share ur view or experience.

Well even just the idea of prayer is helpful. Some christians I know even look at prayer as a meditation - focusing on specific things in your life and bringing them to your attention.

    Day 3/365.

Today went well. It really helped though that I wasn't alone today. An opportunity to slip arose just an hour ago, but I decided to do something differently so that opportunity disappeared. :)
