Losing hope. 2nd long streak, ED still there - Trouble rewiring or Nofap not working?

  2. It goes hand in hand, I did 100+ days of NoFap before I even tryed rewiring. Rewiring is crucial to ppl like me, who were a long term P users and loners with almost zero sexual experiences.

    Only thing we had was a bad neural pathways.

    Guys, I dont want to fight anyone, im here to help. This is what helped me. Just abstaining from P did not. So I say it like it is.

  4. Thank you man, apreciated. Never give up. This was one of the things which prevented me to actually live a life. This problem destroyed my self confidence in every aspect. Now I destroyed that problem in return.

    Sounds to me like you have dominant sympathetic nervous system which would explain your addiction to porn. The parasympathetic nervous is pro-erection and the opposite of sympathetic which is anti, you are either one or the other. Tell me do you lose your cool easily and are easily upset? If so this would confirm it. You could also have a hormone imbalance, both the endocrine system (hormones) and the autonomic nervous system are directly linked, the spinal cord produces massive amounts of dopamine which if severely depleted could take a long long time to recover.

  7. Very happy to hear it! Please, dont forget what your woman is giving to you right now, its much more than just a sex... I failed to realize it at the moments it was happening , so I want to make sure you dont make a same mistake, thats all. Its good to think about it. Good luck brother!

    That's an interesting connection I did not see! I believe I do not lose temper so easily and I got even cooler since I started meditation (daily since nofap start, i.e. 120+ days). The breathing technique I use is short inhale (to activate sympathetic only shortly) and long exhale (to activate parasympathetic more, i.e. to achieve calmness). So from that angle I should be supporting sexual arousal (parasympatetic), right? but I did not know about this connection before so that gives me an additional motivation to practice!

  9. litew8 well said those things. If you addicted your nervous system works in wrong way, keeping you in fight/flight mode often when you should feel relaxed and be in parasympathetic mode. More addicted you become more you will need p. to achieve parasympathetic stance.

    Withdrawal will make these things worse. You can even get stuck in frozen mode, when you can experience derealization, depersonalization, lost emotions etc. thanks to withdrawal.

    Sun - you maybe flat lining like me right now, i would say that my arousal level has dropped considerably, We will experience emotional exhaustion, low\unbalanced hormone production, low levels of cortisol due to over stimulation and also unbalanced dopamine. The chemical and electrical nervous communication system becomes overactive and out of sync, ive had many restless nights tossing and turning and to much exercise has been detrimental to my health causing even more wrestlessness, i would tend to think that low labido is your body making an intellegent repsonse to less stimulation and a way of buidling up its reserves to get itself back into to balance.

    Hey,
    Do you sit at the desk for a long time every day?
    Do you go to bed early? And wake up at a reasonable early time?
    Do you exercise often?
    Do you consume alchohol/tobacco?
    Do you feel "drained" or less energetic after having a wet dream?
    There are numerous possible root causes. Think about where you might be able to improve on and live a healthier lifestyle.
    I believe anyone's body would be able to heal slowly, if they stop wasting the body's and the brain's energy on porn and sex.
