Wet Dreams

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Dec 8, 2018.

  1. OK, this is pretty embarrassing, but I had a wet dream earlier when I was sleeping. I dreamed of sex and I felt like I was having an orgasm in my dream and I woke up and realized that I had just had a wet dream. It is an awful feeling to tell the truth. I've only had a handful in my entire life, but I've never had one while rebooting. I'm almost 13 days in and it's actually been a very hard week, but I keep on persisting because I believe in NoFap and I realize how fucking bad PMO is. I want to feel better and get my life back on track and actually begin living life again.

I guess I'm wanting some opinions on wet dreams. I went on Youtube and watched my boy Gabe Dawg to see what he had to say about it. He says it's not a relapse, but I started reading some comments and quite a few people were saying it was a relapse and if I'm being honest, I got pretty fucking angry. How could this be a relapse? How could something I had absolutely no control over be a relapse? It's almost like being a heroin addict and having someone put heroin in your drink without you knowing. How is that a relapse if it wasn't your conscious choice to take the heroin? It's obviously a different situation, but the principle remains the same.

I realized that I was biased towards the subject, so I tried to be impartial and imagine that it had happened to someone else and I tried to think of what my opinion would be for them. I still believe it's nowhere near a relapse. The only way I could see it being a "relapse" is if you're trying to retain your semen, which isn't what my goal is, but even then it's not a relapse because you didn't voluntarily choose to have a wet dream. My goals are to eliminate porn from my life forever and stay away from masturbation, but I personally think it's OK to have orgasms with women. That's just my two cents. Orgasms aren't what's ruining my life. It's watching porn with all the novelty it contains and beating my meat to fantasy on a computer screen. That right there completely kills my motivation to improve myself, talk to girls, get a better job, further my education, etc.

Anyway, I'm just wanting some of my fellow NoFappers' opinions on the subject. Whether you think it's a relapse or not, could someone give me some advice on avoiding wet dreams? They're just god awful honestly. Nothing worse than waking up with jizz in your pants. Fucking disgusting. :emoji_confounded:

Hey dude I have 2 questions I always ask people who have wet dreams.

    1. How old are you?
    2. Have you done any sort of edging st all on your steak? Including extra touching in the morning or during showing or also any looking at insta models or other types of non nude but sexual content?

  3. I'm 24 and I hadn't looked at anything or touched myself at all before the wet dream. Absolutely none.

    Interesting.

I kinda feel there is a huge amount of biology involved in this Nofap thing. I feel everyone is different to some degree.

I definitly experienced vivid sex dreams when in my reboot. And many times woke up abruptly from them with a rock hard erection. But never actually orgasmed. Maybe I just woke up before it happened? Or maybe I am older (32yo)? Or maybe it’s just our different body chemistry.

I’d say, if you didn’t do anything to make it happen, then You’re all good and carry on with your journey. Sounds like you did nothing to provoke it and it’s out of your control.

  5. Thank you. Yeah that's what I didn't understand. How could it be a relapse if it wasn't my conscious choice? I'm gonna keep on going. Good luck to you.
