    Hello NoFAP community!

    I have been trying for the past two years to not masturbate on my own but as group studying has helped me in school, I figured a community that has the same goal would help too. I am in gradschool and am focusing on medicine. I am pretty healthy and in shape but a problem I have that I never shared with anyone besides from what has been projected in my past relationships is that I have a problem with online pornography and masturbation. I wish to be clean from this problem because I do know, understand and agree with the science behind NOFAP. For those who have been successful, please share what are some tools and tips to beat this.

    You are taking a giant step by admitting your problem. Are you cimmitted to do whayever it takes? We're here for you! Where do you think you need to start? What situations or triggers cause you to PMO? Do you use a specific device like a cell phone? Can you distance yourself from your source of porn?

    I find taking a cold shower every morning helps! When I'm about to relapse a cold shower is good too.

    You can do this my frienc. I'll help as much as you want me to.

    Thank you for the help. I do have triggers I’m figuring out. It’s common ones like environmental stresses, loneliness, if I get insecure in a relationship and also the dumb instagram and other platforms. I try to unfollow the pages that show hot girls but they keep poppping up in my feed, that’s a good trigger for me. Porn seems to be easy when I have my phone with me before bed as well.

    Can try taking a one day internet fast? Just one day? Cold turkey? Yes, even this site. You can check back on this site in 24 hours.
    More long term do the following:
    1. Don't take your phone with you to the bathroom.
    2. No phone or other devices in the bedroom.
    3. Find something to do when your porn urges are the strongest like pushups, going for a run or walk, leg squats, you get the idea?
    4. Try taking a 3-5 minute cold shower every morning.
    That's a good start, plus no Porn, Masturbating or orgasm PMO today. The no PMO should be a daily goal. No PMO will be your goal tomorrow too but let's take that one day at a time.
