    Hello Folks,

i have been in porn addiction from past 6 to 7 years, its started with the photos and then got geared up to all sort of stuff. Few months ago i have read the about the Gary Wilson and his work and how porn is dangerous, on porn forum. From that time it was back of my mind to get rid of porn but did not got rid. Few days ago i visited to friends house for night stay, he told me is journey of quitting porn and the new real life which he have achieved. From that very second i quieted porn for good, because its now or never, that's it i m done.

I don't know its common or unusual but my porn habit is bit different, i was more into downloading videos/photos than watching them, in last 6 or 7 years i watched about max 20 to 25 videos. i also not a big fan of tube sites. All my goal from past 6 to 7 years is to check the screenshot of video if its good then download it, watch later, but that later never came for me, and now its gone its past.

i know above symptom is very much like what Gary Wilson say, constant novelty, constant High of dopamine, lots of individuals in less time.

i know any kind of artificial sexual stimulation is bad for me. So i started the NoFap Hard mode (No PMO) on 15 DEC 2018 after reading the NoFap beginner eBook and some starting articles from Gary Wilson.

as of now 16 days in NoFap i m good, urges are there but no relapse, just yesterday while browsing about hotels, porn related popup open up but i closed it immediately. i don't now about porn (because just yesterday randomly, not purposefully i got the sneak peak in popup) i m not going to porn again, but i m on {No Masturbation & No Orgasm} till death. Only orgasm i want is from sex with women.

i m aware of withdrawal symptom and Falt-line that it will come and i will be preparing for them mentally.

Now i m in deep mess, i wasted my last 5 years in porn rabbit hole. I m alone in this journey, please help me, guide me, support me so that i can make something good in life.

Any tips, advice, blog-post, video or long comment from old rebooters is always welcome, as i m in just 15 days i know long way to go.

    Help Me..!

Thank You for reading this long post.

You sound very determined, just stay positive & avoid triggers, by limiting your internet use. Exercise is a great way to lessen urges & feel good about yourself & keep adding on to your days. The bigger the number, the better you feel.
    Doing awesome!!!

what triggers and which triggers, and how to avoid them?

  4. Hey there. I am 17 but I looked on P as long as you; barely 6 years.
Watch this video, if you want. When you will struggle with your urges, this can put you back onto NoFap track and persuade even your horny self, that you are doing right thing not only for your body and mind, organism, but also for society as a whole.

  5. sidenote: you will probably not be able to avoid all triggers, because they are everywhere. Women with uncovered body parts are popular in commercials in ads, doesn't matter if it's TV, comp, or mobile...
You can avoid some by not clicking on content which is similar to P, if a video has some sexually triggering picture on YouTube for example or so.

The biggest triggers are social media & general internet searching. You could be watching a animal video or workout clip & a porn related ad will pop up, tempting you to open it. Triggers are anything that will cause temptation to relapse.

I'd like to stress that you need to delete all the porn you have collected on your computer, as it's just a ticking time bomb and seems like a key part of your addiction. Meditation/prayer, cold showers, and exercise all help curb urges, and I'd do these things to fortify your mind to delete your porn collection if you haven't already. Keep fighting!

yup i deleted all the porn, but i think internet is the ticking bomb for me as i know each and every site by heart, i really want to learn control my feeling.

  10. When you are here, on NoFap, you have a reason. You want to change your lifestyle because you see destructive consequences of the current one.
So, if you have a goal, a vision, a reason you are here on NoFap, then you have to remind yourself whenever you see a trigger why you are fapstronaut.
Rational mind will not help you, there is no point in arguing with the addict self. You must be strong, do some other activity, going off the screen. It's good to be physically active for a few minutes when urges are here, because if you are literally stuck in this chair before screen, then you can hardly tore yourself away from P stuff.

    @ackin12345 :

Triggers are really everywhere, so stay away from social media sites like instagram and YT, certainly in the beginning of your reboot.
Stay busy with useful things, communicate here to people, make a journal you can update daily, it can be very helpful to sort out your thoughts.

Know why you want this journey to succeed my friend, remember we have always a choice to not give in to p, you need to take responsbility for all of your actions and be prepared to endure some discomfort by not giving in to the dopamine rush your brain wants you to.

Come here on the forums and talk to people if you feel tempted, we're here for you buddy, stay strong !
    Happy 2019 ! :)

You need to resist to all kind of triggers in the end my friend, we can't avoid everything all of our lives...

It helps to deliberately stay away from known triggers and ofcourse p-subs and real p sites, but you need to take responsibility for your own actions in the long run, there is no other way !

It's possible, just keep working on it and know why you want to stop this behavior, you can do this ! :)
