Then I tried turning to God for help I went for a run trying to escape the pain of what I did and how disgusted I felt

I relapsed again after my run

    Then I lost all hope

    And then I joined nofap

Then I relapsed again after joining nofap

What makes things worse is I'm supposed to be a Christian and many times a relapse is after church or after spending time with God

    Which creates insane guilt/ confusion

Because I'm meant to aim to live a pure life and I want want to but I'm failing miserably!

This isn't a switch that you flip and poof! you're cured. The universe was created with balance. Hate the sin, but don't despair over it. Breaking addiction is tough and long process. I've been struggling for many years with this, and I learned that the key is to not give up. Relapsing is bad, there's no denying that, but not the end of the world. Balance, remember? Either extreme is bad, one eats you inside, one worsens the situation. It is horribly hard at times, but here's one of my favorite quotes:

"The success or failure of your deeds, does not add up to the sum of your life. Your spirit cannot be weighed. Judge yourself by the intentions of your actions, and by the strength with which you faced the challenges that have stood in your way. The Universe is vast and we are so small. There is really only one thing we can ever truly control... whether we are good or evil."

Hey man we have all been there. If you are a Christian then you know spiritual warfare is a real thing. It’s not a coincidence that when you draw closer to god the temptation towards your addiction amplifys. Satan never wants an addict out of their addiction. It’s a way to enslave people and make their lives hell on earth. Why do you think all addictions make you feel good in the moment and then slowly poison and ruin lives? Because if all the bad came upfront no one would ever indulge. Drugs, Alcohol, Gambling, Porn. They always feel good in the beginning and end with people lives in shambles.

Right now your brain is completely dependent on that hard dopamine hit. When it doesn’t get it it’s going to start to demand it and things are going to get real uncomfortable. This is withdrawal. It’s just as real with Porn and masterbation as it is with heroin, smoking, cocaine etc...It’s going to fucking suck for awhile. You are going to have withdrawal symptoms. There is no way around that. But there are a lot of resources on this board and the internet about how to make them better.

Right now you are in the shame cycle. The shame is lying to you. It’s telling you that you are bad and you suck and you are a failure. Not true. Not true. Not true. Remember God loves you no matter what. No matter how many times you look at porn or what type of porn you look at.

If you really need help or want to change you may need to seek out a local Saa meeting to begin attending or find a good counselor who specializes in sex addiction.

You are not alone. God Bless.
