Still could use an android blocker as well. Which android blocker did you use? Not a perfect solution but would be helpful for me since it's better than nothing for sure.

  2. I use Boomerang parent app. It blocks all access to P because it forces you to only use it's specific safe browser (Spin). If you tried to open a regular internet browser, it would block it. Spend the 20$ for a year subscription. Because of this app, I haven't been able to view P on my phone for the past 8 months (since I bought it in may). It comes with uninstallation prevention and prevents you from using safety mode. The only way you could get by it is to completely factory reset the phone or buy a new phone (either of which I am not completely desperate to do).

    >Install K9 on your admin account for your computer
    >Create a standard non-admin user for your computer.
    >Disable safety mode for non-admin users.
    >Throw away the k9 passwords, associated email account, and admin password for your computer
    >Enjoy a PMO free computer.

*Warning - this is a very risky thing to do, so be sure you give you password to someone reliable. I gave it to my mom LOL.

that's great to know Don.I'll have to check that out for sure. For now I changed the IP addresses in my android according to some website which blocks P. Thing is that it was preventing me from using my own wifi. Will figure that out, but if anyone has any tips on that, would certainly welcome them.

I have used Boomerang and Spin before. I really like the quality of it. It really is a safety measure but there is no completely safe measure to be taken unfortunately however it sounds like it kept you away from porn so I mean that is good.

Like for me, I now fap to magazines. There is no blocker for that. It is just as bad even if I am not rewiring my brain the way a hardcore internet video junkie is just erasing their gray matter like they want to be a zoo animal or something.

I mean the objectification and masturbation are just as terrible fapping to still paper images. And yes you can binge doing that as you would in front of a screen.

So my blocker is daily meditation. More of like keeping a fortress armed with sentries night and day that can recognize a psychological threat before it snowballs into something unmanageable.

But hey I might be getting some tech I will be setting parental controls on, yes just parental controls already programmed into it, in which I will store a password I do not memorize far from my house but in the city limits, I mean in a nearby town that I cannot get to easily. Yes I can get to it but the point is putting enough space in between me deciding to get it for a relapse and making the right choice to not relapse.

The point is I have to learn how to make the right choice someday.

Meditation as a blocker is something I've never heard before.

  6. Yeah I must of really fucked up my brain pathways. If I'm not in front of a P video, then I don't have urges to MO at all. Without video P, I wouldn't PMO to still images or MO using my imagination.

I´ve got 2 questions about that:
    1. I installed Spin a few month ago, but it also blocked many youtube videos (which nothing had in common with any sort of porn,
just normal rap videos, even without naked women and so on). If I install the Youtube App, can I configure the Boomerang parent app, so that I can watch all youtube videos?
    2. I use K9 a few month now for my computer. I never tried to create a new windows user for my computer, but If I do, am I able to watch porn then? I blocked all porn (and also download sites, where I can download porn), but "just" as an admin.
Just want to close all porn gaps. (I gave my password to a good friend of mine).

Thank you and good luck to all!!!

  8. 1. You can only watch Youtube videos through the youtube app and not the spin browser. You need to manually go into settings and allow the Youtube app and to turn off restricted mode. (There is a setting that can make restricted mode to youtube).

*If you want my personal opinion, I rarely go on YouTube. YouTube was a great trigger for me back in the day; I advise you allow the blocker to do it's job. If you want to listen to rap, use spotify* (You don't have to follow this advice).

    2. Nope! If you create a new user, K9 will still work for that new user. The k9 software will work globally across all users. I like to use my computer in non-admin mode just so I don't have urges to go and delete, uninstall, or turn off k9 (you need to be admin to do so). What I did was give the admin password for my personal computer to my parents who use the computer in admin mode. I only use the computer in non-admin mode. Either way, there is really no access to P as the passwords have been hidden a long time ago.

Also, despite using these blocks, you must train your willpower to avoid P as well. In this day and age, it is everywhere. You must train yourself to avoid it and not actively search for it. I've set up these blockers to get past the first 2-3 months. Since using this approach in May, I have drastically cut down my PMO use. I'd say in the past 8 months, I have probably PMO'd less than 20 times. Once you get past the initial hurdles and withdrawals (like opiate or alcohol withdrawal), you must reboot and recover with your mind.

I'm currently reaching one month Nofap on hardmode. Wish me luck.

Try Cold Turkey, it allows you to block all the sites that you want for a certain block of time. I also use this when I need to get work done and don't need to rely on discipline and willpower to stop me from going to sites like YouTube, Netflix, etc. Hope this helps!

Great, thank you all guys! We all have to work on our brainpower, but like an alcoholic we need to empty out our houses, so I think blockers are a great deal!

  13. You're right k9 can't be broken provided it's set up right. A lot of times people aren't willing to go the extra step because they still want to hang on to the option of the possibility of PMO'ing.

Boomerang has an anti-safe mode as well. Another thing you can do is to prevent yourself from having your settings changed. I've done this. For my next phone, I'm just getting a flip phone. Will it look corny...yes. Will I be a sheep...No
