Some time last year when I lost my job, I found myself in the vicious cycle of masterbating to porn daily. I would drop my girlfriend to work in the morning, drive back home, smoke a joint, masterbate, then proceed to feel dreary and angry for the rest of the day, and consequently was struggling in the bedroom - either to get it up to begin with, and then also to finish it would take too long as she would cum and I’m not even aroused yet.

It has always been more of an impulse for me, acting too quick on my fantasies and being unable to resist the temptation of having porn there at the touch of a screen.

Sometimes I would rationalise it as ok and try to convince myself that it made little difference to my life quality and overall well being - deep down, however, I knew and was aware of the chemical imbalance it was causing me psychologically, along with other negative side effects.

I found that for a day or two afterward, my vision would be so blurry and it was getting worse.

It has been five days now since resetting, and I am looking forward to continuing the conscious effort to cut this habit out of my life, as I feel so much more positive and energetic.

Hi bud. It's great, keep it up. And I'm sure your SO will appreciate the effort you're putting for a better you.
    Good luck!

    Welcome!

Does your gf know about this? The biggest help in my recovery was the disclosure of the addiction. It thrives in secrecy.

Dropping P and M for good is truly life changing. You need to constantly work at it. It won’t be cured in days or months. Good luck!
