    Hello.
After that, I could see a rise in will and confidence to a much higher level compared to before. Now I have a lot better understanding of PMO, gender, time for family, control on my emotions, etc.
But it's also true that the benefits you can see in your journey, I might not be able to tell in my scenario. It's like when you're not having possession of something you always want, you just overthink it.
    I hope it helps
    Good luck with your goals!

Congrats on the 500. I realize you are experimenting and its your choice.
I did a 6 months of NoP/PMO in 2016 and it worked fine for me. I had a few slight urges or curiosity events where I lowered my guard and it took some time to start experiencing issues (looking at P more and more without MO), but then I started hoping that my wife would work late so I can be alone at home to PMO....so its just a matter of time.

Just like cigarettes, once you are clean, you don't want to try one here or there, as its the first crack in the armor...eventually, you fall down the rabbit hole.

You are young still at 20, but its great, as all the older people wish they would have known better in their young adult life. So, the earlier you are aware of the dangers the better it is.

But let me tell you....the reason why I still here (I re-registered), is that finally, the brain got used to "shop" for exciting images/videos again, and coolidge made me start binging this Xmas holiday. I would start when my wife would go to bed and go to bed when she woke up....the was the ultimate P binge of death for me....PIED after 2 weeks of that....

So, I'm back! At 45 yo, I still do stupid mistakes or get veered away from my objective if I have a few drinks or if I just lower my guard...

Well done to you. This journey showed you that you can be strong and you can maintain discipline. Superpowers are not existent. You are just getting into your normal stage as if you wouldn't fap and porn ever in your life. To intentionally watch porn is very stupid. I don't say that fapping is stupid as fapping makes different things to your body but porn makes a real mess and addiction. Watching porn is damaging your brain where is very difficult to "cut" those pathways. It activates Pavlovian memory back to where it was before. It is very very dangerous. In one attempt you can get back to addiction and you are back to square one and feel even worse than before. Hopefully, you learned your lesson. Well done to you. I haven't done more than 20 days. I have what to learn.

I agree, I'm not sure why OP watched P instead of just doing MO after 500+ days. P is the root cause of all the problems. It sort of shows that he may still have an addiction problem, but not sure. Probably not though since he stopped P now.

  7. Take all your experience for your last streak and use it to fight the addiction again.
You can make it another 500!

The addiction of porn is always there, you will ever have the addiction problem, the risk of falling back into porn will always be there for the rest of the addict's life.

Nice to hear that nofap is not limited to a particular generation or a group of people but to everyone who wants to get over this low life trap.
I hope you succeed in your goals and all the best!

Thanks a lot for that info!
All I've known from this long streak is that you need to have a broad vision about yourself by not limiting yourself to this short lived pleasures. I got into MO by a friend in high school. If I hadn't learned about that I would have been in the right track from back then. But it's about realizing yourself and your objectives/goals in life and focus on it.
Best of luck for your journey!

Hello, that's true but after having done this long challenge I feel a better control over my mind (and hands lol) as compared to before.
The point behind me doing nofap is focusing on my studies as much as I can. However, I can still go PMO everyday without any such problem but now I know that this happiness is very short and doesn't improve by any means. Now I am able to study as much as 6 to 7 hours easily compared to at most am hour before. I hope it helps. Good luck!

The addiction pattern is always there, yes, but after a long time being sober you can decide if you want to go back to that path. It will be a planned decision. It won't be a push from your brain as a huge urge as you are addicted. But that first attempt can get you there. So even there is a brain that has an addictive pattern there if you make a conscious decision not to watch porn you shouldn't have a problem ever in your life. These days when we are deep into addiction we can't really make a controlled decision as our prefrontal cortex in our brain is damaged. And prefrontal cortex is responsible for decisionmaking. So if prefrontal cortex will repair into its glory addicted pattern can be deep in the brain but we will not fall for it, so I wouldn't be worried.

    I kind of agree.

Yes, after a while you will not be pushed to search for porn. But for sure, if you will fall into porn once, even after 3 years, i think you could totally fall back into it even in just a day.

  17. I do not want to watch porn. I HATE porn!
