What do you expect to find on a forum where a significant percentage of men have ED; or have been made to feel inferior by porn stars and other issues. I don't see why you should be in danger of relapsing just because you see the word penis.

You are overlooking the point that the insecurity that boys and men feel about the size of their penis can come from seeing above average dicks in porn and feeling inadequate. The guy talking about hygiene is concerned that cleaning his penis under his foreskin has lead to relapses and is asking for practical advice. The other example you gave I haven't seen.

Contrary to your earlier claim, it seems you are in fact reading these posts.

 

I just think it funny that if you post an even slightly triggering pic, boom, reported by a random, under investigation, and then removed with a warning. Fact is these people are borderline trolls, who are TRYING to trigger people, and the mods are just like "meh." I don't think the threads should be moved, I think they should be removed.

then they'll make friends who feel the same way and read comments from other people's post with the same issues. maybe then they wouldnt even feel the need to post their own post if they find a post similiar to the one they are thinking of making

It doesnt happen often, but I'm gonna have to agree with @IGY on this one. I think it can be pretty relevant. Porn gives people a lot of insecurities. And I think it would be perfectly reasonable for a woman to post in the women's section something about how they feel insecure about not being smooth as a dolphin down there, or not having big, perfectly perky boobs because of porn conditioning them to think that's what's normal. I dont think those posts would get removed, and I think if men complained about them being triggering, they would be told to just not read it.

Also, it makes sense that there is a women's section for that kind of stuff, because like it or not, women are a pretty small minority here. As a woman, I personally dont see the need in creating a new space for men to talk about that kind of stuff. It doesnt particularly trigger me, and I think they have the right to seek encouragement and support for something that's bothering them.

I will admit, I have been a bit too harsh with people in the past about this, but it's always been from a mindset of tough love, which is sometimes helpful for some people but not for everyone. But I think its perfectly valid for men to have insecurities, especially related to their penis, and especially after excessive porn use. If they can't talk about that stuff here, where will they? You honestly think they're going to go have a sit down with their buddies and discuss how insecure they are about their penis not being as big as the ones they see in porn? This seems a pretty appropriate place for that, in my opinion, and if a woman is going to be triggered by it, she is free to not click on the thread. Or better yet, if she isnt triggered, step in and offer support! I think it could be really helpful for women to be more supportive and try to remind men that they are more than just their penis size and offer them a female perspective on whether or not that stuff matters and what they can do to find more confidence in themselves.

Anyway, that's my two cents.
