You hear very often that it is important to ejaculate at least once or even 5-6 times per week to decrease the risk of prostate cancer.

They say that men who ejaculate less than twice per week are more likely to develop prostate cancer by the age of 70. They say you should be jerking off 15-25 times per month depending on your age.

Absolute rubbish. Lack of ejaculation does not lead to prostate cancer. My theory is this - Men who ejaculate less frequently do so because they are unable to ejaculate. They lack libido, testosterone and vitality which is the reason they are not ejaculating. These generally overweight, unhealthy men probably also drink a bit and smoke a bit which all result in this lack of vitality. Maybe they eat unhealthily too and seldom exercise.
These same men then develop all different kinds of different diseases at earlier rates, including prostate cancer.

The men ejaculating frequently are (likely) men who are in a fulfilling relationships. Maybe they are very good with women. Maybe they workout 4 times a week, they avoid cigarettes and other drugs. They keep alcohol to a minimum and try to only eat meat, vegetables and other necessities. These men live to be 90 years old. Their testosterone is high and they are fit and healthy.

It is not purely the ejaculating that gives these men a lower risk of prostate cancer. It is everything else that goes with it. It is not purely the act of ejaculating that lowers their risk, but their health and vitality that makes them desire to ejaculate so frequently.

Sorry if I have explained that poorly. I sometimes struggle to convey my thoughts.

TL;DR: The ability to ejaculate regularly helps to avoid prostate cancer. Not the actual act of ejaculating itself. Men who don't ejaculate because they lack the vitality, then develop prostate cancer and every other type of illness at higher rates than men who are actually able to ejaculate.

You don't actually HAVE TO ejaculate. Just the fact that you are able to have sex frequently is what reduces the risks of getting ill.

Don't let the phony risk of prostate cancer convince you to PMO.

  3. I agree it takes what over two months for a sperm cell to mature properly? If so it makes absolutely no sense that ejaculation should be required as often as possible to prevent prostate cancer because in that case nature seems to not know what it's doing, which I'm sure the same scientists who say frequent ejaculation is beneficial, wouldn't believe since nature is God to them. So, which one is it? Can nature take care of itself or not?

Exactly. We are able to use the toilet when we need to, we dont have to physically pump our urine out. It comes out naturally because it needs to. There is no reason semen wouldn't be any different.

I thought this article summed it up very well

And do you have any scientific evidence to support your claims?

When you're in your 20's, your body produces more sperm than someone in their 50s, but even then, what isn't ejaculated will just be reabsorbed into the body. Prostate cancer has nothing to do with ejaculation frequency, but my urologist has stated that "edging" puts a lot of stress on a prostate, which could lead to cancer, but there is no overwhelming evidence to that either. I've become knowledgeable in this subject, due to the fact that I've had 2 prostate surgeries, for enlargement, a HOLAP & a TURP. Yearly checks and PSA blood tests will put your mind at ease.

It's common sense. If our body needed to get rid of semen 20 times a month then it would do it. Our body isn't stupid. If you need to look at filthy images and pump away at your penis to ejaculate then it's probably not a requirement.
We wouldn't feel so good after practicing semen retention if it was actually killing us.

So in other words you have zero scientific evidence to support your claim.

You do you bro.. I'd rather not go through life like a lifeless zombie jerking off 6 times a week for a supposed 30% decreased chance I get prostate cancer. The science says I am far more likely to die from something other than prostate cancer, so I'm not gonna lie to myself and pretend jerking off is good for me. I'm not gonna be sitting on my death bed with some various illness and think - Thank God I jerked off 6 times a week or maybe I'd be dying of prostate cancer!

I've not made any claims about the proper number of times to masterbate if any. All I did was ask you to substantiate your claims. If your claim can't withstand the most basic of scruteny without you getting offended and resorting to ad hominem and trying to strawman me then it's probably not correct.

Dude, I'm not a scientist that can study test subjects health over a long period of time. Read the article I posted above if you're actually interesting in researching and not just trying to prove to everyone what a clever guy you are. I seriously couldn't care less if you think I'm wrong, just don't want people fapping and lying to themselves that it's healthy.
Sorry I posted anything. Have a great day dude!

The problem is when there is an over retention of stuff in the prostate and testicles, that means you should get rid of it but not through ejaculation, rather injaculation. Which means transporting the energy to the brain via your spine. That way your testicles are not loaded and most importantly, you're not wasting that energy but rather nourishing your brain, organsand body. I'm still working on that process

Sounds very interesting. I'm going to have to research this idea, cheers! Definitely a better option than releasing that energy into a tissue and flushing it down the toilet

Good for you that you think you're right because "common sense". I get it, you want to convince yourself how bad it is to jerk off and how worthless it is because you went too far doing that, like the rest of us.
Masturbation is not evil if done in moderation. There's nothing wrong with busting a nut once in a while as long as you don't let it take over your life, like it did to you and the rest of us on NoFap. We fucked up, we've got to own up to it and fix it and not to degenrate into a cult that demonizes masturbation and brainwash ourselves that scientific evidence is bullshit.

The vast majority of human beings masturbate, many of them on a regular basis, yet they're not all porn and/or masturbation addicts. Most lead normal lives despite masturbating regularly. Not every person who wacks off binges porn and edges the living shit out of himself for hours on end. Not everyone prioritize porn and/or masturbation over other things, not everyone's shaking for their dose of porn and masturbation every time they start up their incognito mode. Not everyone are sexually dysfunctional and desensitized because they jerk off and/or watch porn on a regular basis.

That being said: Yes, It's definitely not healthy to wack off everytime you get the chance nor is it healthy to binge porn. You should just stay away from porn altogether just for the chance of you developing an addiction and because it contributes nothing at all to you. But I see no harm in a quick 10-15 minutes masturbation session using your mind once in a while. Fuck, even watching some vanilla stuff or just softcore crap once every week or two just to get off in 10-15 minutes wouldn't harm most people, because most of them just wanna relieve themselves and get going with their lives, their other priorities.

We fucked up and went WAY too deep. And now we're paying the price, so for us even as much as a glimpse could easily lead to a full relapse and drag us back into the cycle of addiction and destroy our heads, lives and souls.

I'm going to go with science on this one.

Some of you are seriously missing the point.
Like I said - it would be impossible to determine that lack of ejaculation causes prostate cancer, unless every test subject lives identical lives outside their frequency of ejaculation. I will simplify it for some of you.

Person A masturbates 3 times a week. He doesn't smoke or drink alcohol.
Person B masturbates once a month. He smokes and drinks alcohol.

    Person B develops prostate cancer.
Scientists - "It must be because he only ejaculated once a month" not bothering to look into any of his other lifestyle factors.
It is not proper science unless EVERY other factor is kept identical except the ejaculation.

I don't actually have a porn or even a masturbation addiction. I have simply noticed that when I do not jerk off I have tonnes more energy, I'm more social, and I attract girls a little easier. Therefore I've decided to stop it completely, and this site does help when urges hit. Even if people aren't addicted to porn or masturbation at all, I would still recommend them to cease it completely and use your sexual energy with a woman and not by yourself.

And you're just assuming none of those very important factors were taken under consideration by the research team? Are you for real?
Obviously, the participants are questioned about their lifestyle and habits. That's fucking mandatory in researches where the participants' lifestyle and habits affect the results.
