I have always had issues with PMO but the last couple of years have been harder then ever. I go through cycles where I want to stop and others where I say what’s the point in fighting it. I was on 48hrs earlier and I tricked myself into it. I want to get some kind of streak going but it’s harder then I could ever imagine.

  2. Yeah. First step of recovering is to admit you are addicted.

When I first started combatting porn, I tried to do it without blockers. Truthfully, I don’t have the strength to win without them. For some people, overcoming addiction necessitates changes in environment as well. Consider setting up blockers and I am sure your streaks will increase.

That means you're not of one mind. One part fights the other. Means you're not sure about quitting. As long as that's the case you won't have a chance to get completely rid of it.

The two sides of you that are battling each have their arguments.
The conscientious you says "Quit porn, because you're not free with it, it might damage future relationships and it decrease your life quality overall. Also you might suffer from ED some day."
The lust-seeking you says "Watch porn, you've never really been harmed by it, it's a big world with lots of opportunities to make you feel good in the moment. Also, you can always quit later, so let's watch some right now."

You have to decide who's right. In your heart you know the conscientious you is right, that's why you're here on this forum. But you're not completely convinced. You have to be BORED and ANNOYED with what your porn-brain has to offer. You have to get the feeling that you've seen it all and that you keep being at the same point in life, which sucks. You have to get an urge to move forward, you must WANT a new life. Only then you will have enough determination to stick with your decision.

The addiction is real and I broke again last night. Something popped in my head and I couldn’t get rid of it. Reading through the couple posts on here now and I wish I would have saw them before. It gives me strength knowing that I am not alone in feeling this and others are fighting and winning the same battles.
