  1. I'm curious how all of you track a streak (or not). I wrote a newsletter about one option that I'll be sending out to News subscribers tomorrow.

I like to use the day counter and sometimes a journal.

in my opinion while i feel a journal can be helpful i believe it has a downside of making you think about pmo, if you have to consciously take a look into it in order to write. With the counter, you can kinda just leave it be and every now and then if you need that extra bit of motivation you can give it a look.

Would it not be a good thing to face your problems every day by having to journal versus putting bandaids on the problem via a counter that's only as good as when you give a shit about it?

    Accountability, right?

    Genuinely curious

That is indeed a good point and to be honest I'm not really sure what the answer is for me because I know everyone is different. I am going to try writing more journal entries to see if it helps. I did for a little while but I stopped.

Without using a journal I was able to make to 15 days, which is the longest streak ive ever accomplished. If you can see the day counter,I did have a relapse recently. But now after I learned from that mistake I am going use the journal again to hopefully pinpoint when it was that I started feeling more energy and hopefully use that as motovation.

  5. I use the forum counter as well as a little display stand I built where I hang my monthly "coin" from Celebrate Recovery.
