Where to start...

    I've tried so many times to start a new commitment not to fap... I always break it when I don't have anything going on or I'm bored and nothing to do. What's the best way to stop these urges? And I feel terrible after I've masturbated and I won't ever do it again, but then the desire is right back the next day! What's wrong with me??

    I feel you bro. I have the same problems.
    You should get the NoFap emergency app or whatever,
    Then you should delete all of Ur porn (if u have any),
    Avoid being alone in the room,
    Erm idk, get a filter for Internet (K9 or smtng similar),
    And if you get the urge, go do push ups or homework or go out running, or if you're in the shower, turn it all the way to cold and jump under it, the shock should help you...

    It will be hard for you to break out of you current situation without making some changes to the patterns that make you PMO. You've already identified the cause of your struggles, which is having nothing to do and being bored. What I think you need to do is to find something to fill your free time with that will keep you away from PMO, like reading books, learning new skills, socializing etc.

    Personally I've found that the best way to combat the urges is to prevent them from appearing in the first place, so keep yourself busy and your mind engaged and you'll probably find that you'll think about PMO a lot less.

    You need to read all you can from this site and the other NoFap sites. Also focus on the positives that you will LOSE from fapping. Keep in mind that PMO and MO can cause sexual dysfunction later on when you have a wife (I am against sex before marriage). It can actually mess you up in having sex with a real woman. How pathetic is that. Also, if you are married or in a relationship and your partner finds out you are watching porn, she will be DEVASTATED, as many can attest to on this forum. Get this habit out of your life before you meet the woman that is a KEEPER.

    Don't give up what you want MOST for what you want NOW.

    This is the line of thinking that I've been using to motivate myself.

    Don't forget exercising regularly. It's the single most helpful thing for nofap in my opinion.

    I was only able to quit once I saw for myself that PMO was causing significant health problems. After I quit, I realized that PMO had ****ed up my entire life. I was, and still am devastated...

    I know as all of you do, the struggle is real. No matter what tools you have in place, working out, reading, working etc, as a single guy, the urge to reproduce grows stronger everyday. I started my first reboot, lasted 10 days, blew it when I was really hungover, and now I'm back at 2 days strong lol I think the single most important factor for me when I was at my 7-10 day mark was the surge in confidence and reading the feelings and changes I wrote down when I quit jerking it. For me, I can pick up girls, but the last year or so it just doesn't have the same allure, and I know when I'm jerking it and watching porn, I devalue women and lose a lot of integrity on the inside. I will never find the woman I feel I deserve with pervy-porn watching John calling the shots, just meaningless physical relationships with girls that are basic and easy. My motivation: the image I have in my head of the man I want to be... :)

    And the married guy is right, sorry I don't have access to his username, but watching porn daily as if it is normal can really screw up your ability to perform consistently with a real woman. It's unnatural on so many levels.

    One thing I have rarely heard mentioned on this site, is eastern cultures views on semen retention. It is the vital energy in a man, sexual energy. It is NOT to be wasted, and simply preserving it is not enough. You have to channel it, like working out was recommended. But one thing I have been doing, is chakra rebalancing meditation and deep static stretching, I can literally feel the energy radiating from the base of my spine out to the tips of my toes and fingers.     Get a filter, fail loads, get sick of failing loads, eventually tell someone close to you, fail loads more, stop using porn for a while, fail some more, try again, fail again, get sick of this process - then begin.

    You forgot failing some more, or did you?
    Grow stronger with every streak.
    I would skip the get a filter step. It is only a crutch that makes you feel you have it under control, when you don't. Trying to perfect the filter is only a distraction from the actual problem.
