I am looking for a program with which I can reduce the Internet time

    Hey guys (and girls),

    like I mentioned above, I am looking for a program with which I can reduce the internet time. First of all, I know that my router can do this as well, but I live with a woman here (in a dorm) and we both use the WLAN. My plan is the following: I want to install a programm that reduces my laptop internet time to 3 hours a day, but it should not be a parental control program. I already use K9 Blocker and this works really fine for me to help me fighting my addiction. I know, that many of you will tell me: "Mental willpower is the magic tool" and you are right, but a few programs that help me in the beginning to develop the willpower can not hurt.
    The problem with parental controls is that it also blocks other content (for example, adult Youtube content). Can anybody help me further?

    I'm not sure what programs exist that would be what you're looking for. You already have K9, which is great, and you don't want a parental control type program.

    To me, personally, it sounds like self control is the best tool to use with this.

    You don’t want to just avoid the porn you need to kick the porn and simply not search for it
    Otherwise when you get a long streak and finally take the blockers off you mind will think your streak is off too and you’ll be right back where you started
