    Hello everybody,
I am writing this thread because I need your help.
I have been on nofap for about 2 years now, but in the last few months something has changed.
I now believe to be suffering from what looks like sexsomnia. Basically, I wake up at night and I either find myself already "doing it" or I wake up in an altered state of mind in which it's very difficult to control myself.
The strange thing is that this has been happening from the beginning of August now, so the problem hasn't gone away even after months. At the beginning of August, when it started, I had relapsed after a successful 40 days streak.

I don't know why this is happening, I have never suffered from sleep disorders in my life and now I can't even sleep at night, it's making my life difficult.

Does any of you know anything about this? Thank you for you help.

Ps: I am new to the forum, so please excuse me if I made any mistakes

Starting on March 1st, I began a new bout of urges that would often have me waking up due to addiction-related anxiety. The anxiety was unbearable and strong enough that I didn’t actually want to PMO (rather, I’d say, the anxiety was due to intense fear of my urges).

I know it is not the same and my anxiety has rather subsided by now, but I did request anxiety medication, which helped a lot with sleep issues. I would recommend that you talk to a doctor about this.

I think your case may be similar to mine, in fact i noticed it happens whenever I am tense or anxious for something, even though I had never suffered from anxiety.

    Thank you for your response!
I will consider medical help, as you suggested
