Dopamine

    Hey guys, I have a question/theory. When you get a craving to PMO you are basically wanting your dopamine fix....so would eating fast food/sugar be a better alternative for the time being since you get a huge dopamine fix from that. I have been doing that during my streak and it's been keeping me off of PMO. I know eventually I will have to eat healthy again but this is a possible way of eliminating the craving for PMO. (at least for me). And I know that PMO and eating junk food are VERY different. It's just a thought. Any comments or opinions are welcome.

    I agree with Toby. The only problem with eating fast food and/or sugar is that it makes you feel like a piece of shit afterwards. My best deterrents to PMO are working out and cold showers; working out because it provides dopamine and gives me a sense of confidence/accomplishment, and cold showers because it removes the blood flow from the crotch :D

    Yeah this is all true.....and I agree one hundred percent.....i guess eating the junk food is the easier alternative but it's definitely not beneficial at all but it's keeping me from PMO for the time beibg.....I'm definitely going to try to get back into the routine of working out and eating healthier sooner than later

    PMO addiction is basicly a dopamine addiction + natural sex drive + habit. If you can overcome the dopamine addiction, you can easily deal with PMO. IMO the best way to do this is to constantly challenge yourself. Do things that you hate, just to prove yourself that you're stronger than you think. Get comfortable with the uncomfortable, and once you have tamed those things, find another that make you really uncomfortable. I personally hate cold, fatige, and getting up early, so I became waking up at 5:30, I only take cold showers, and I started running. At the time I was fully into these things I was able to make a 126 days streak. I'm pretty sure you can do it as well. Good luck!
