    Hello,

I am a 20 year old male living in Texas. I have been on NoFap since late September. I've had some bumps in the road along the way, where I quit the day counter for edging, but I have not O'd voluntarily in quite a while. I have never made it this far on NoFap before.

I have never been in a relationship, or had sex before. I don't really intend to either, nor do I care to (although yes, I understand the advantages of a relationship).

Over the past two months, I have begun helping out at my local volunteer fire department, meeting new people and learning a lot of new, useful info. I've been feeling a lot better recently, especially while I am there. I attribute NoFap as a major contributor to that: specifically in regard to not ejaculating.

Unfortunately, four days ago on Thursday, when I returned home from school in the afternoon, I was tired and hungry, so I ate some food and then took a nap. When I awoke, I discovered that I had a wet dream- which had not happened since January/February. I went back to sleep again, and had another wet dream. I was quite angry at myself.

I also awoke to a wet dream on Friday morning, Saturday morning but yesterday morning, all was clear. However, this morning, I awoke to yet another wet dream.

I'm beginning to grow very concerned at these wet dreams. I want them to stop because I feel like they are draining my life force energy and I definitely do not feel the same after they happen. I feel weaker compared to previously when I did not have wet dreams for a while.

I've noticed that previously, the wet dreams usually happen when I go to sleep, wake up too early and then go back to sleep. When I would awake for the second time, I would have had a wet dream. However, this wasn't the case on Friday morning, Saturday morning or this morning.

Also, last night when I returned home from the volunteer fire department, I anticipated a wet dream the following morning. In order to prevent this, I took a cold shower for two minutes or so and then I went on a long walk around where I live. Still, however, I had a wet dream.

I also quit video games in March, and I am in the process of quitting sugar. I have to say that they were easier than I thought, most likely because of NoFap. (I recommend it!) Could the lack of dopamine from those be contributing factors to the wet dreams?

I want these wet dreams to stop, or at least be very infrequent, as I'm trying to preserve my semen as I am on NoFap "monk mode".

Is there any reason why I keep having wet dreams this week?

If so, how can I stop the wet dreams?

Thank you. I appreciate any help.

Personally I dont think wet dreams are a problem. I once had an awkward conversation with a doctor about the topic and he explained really well that its normal and natural for our bodies to do this with excess semen that builds up. I understand that you want to retain your bodies life force. However from your post it seems like your negative feelings towards wet dreams are having worse affects on you than the wet dreams themselves. But I could be totally wrong and your opinion is entirely up to you. But in all I think your doing great man! almost to 200 days thats exciting! you should celebrate with an ice cream cone or something

Nantz, I understand. I worry too much and I have never been one to pat myself on the back.

I'm just going to try to keep myself occupied and not worry about the wet dreams, even though they do bother me.

    Thanks.

I had a similar experience around my 40th day.
Within 4 days, I had 3 wet dreams. For a while it was steadily once a week and now it's about once every 2 weeks. I had one run without wet dreams that neared 4 weeks. It's annoying, but the frequency has steadily gone down.
I'm no scientist, but if I had to guess it's just the way your body is adjusting to frequent O vs. your NoFap career.
I also agree with Nantz above. Wet dreams aren't really preventable (unless you claim to be able to lucid dream and stop yourself, which I have heard murmurs of but have not been able to achieve or really believe) and they're also not that huge of a deal.
I hate wet dreams too. Nothing like waking up and having some extra cleanup thrown on the morning routine. But if you stick with it, I bet that the frequency will go down, at least a little bit.
    Stick with it!

Thanks, I will stick with it. I have not had any wet dream issues since the Monday that I originally posted about in this thread.

No, I actually used to wear tight underwear up until about two months ago, however, fearing that such would cause wet dreams, I decided to wear loose boxer shorts. Still, however, wet dreams occurred.

I've heard drinking green tea half an hour to an hour before you go to sleep helps. I've tried it, and I haven't had a wet dream whenever I've drunk it, but on the other hand, I don't have wet dreams every night, so who knows?

don't listen to those who say that too many wet dreams are normal. ignorant people.

wet dreams can occur for the following reasons:
    -fatigue (maybe your case)
    - stress and depression (meditating is the solution to the problem)
    -glans too sensitive
    -weak pubococcygeus muscle (maybe)

there may also be other reasons that I don't know

What are your recommendations for meditation? I can't understand what people mean whenever they talk about meditation on NoFap. Do you have any links on NoFap forums about meditation? Thank you.

P.S. Still haven't had a wet dream in a while- thankfully, it was only a short phase.

  13. did you have an increase in impure thoughts/fantasies during this time?
