It's almost been two days since I last PMO'd, today has been tough, I've been trying to keep myself busy and it has worked so far. However, I'm trying to read a self development book and images of porn keep popping up in my mind constantly. I actually started typing the word "porn" into my browser out of instinct, however, I caught myself before I pressed enter. Anyways, do you guys have any good ideas on how to stop urges, does it get easier with time? I'd really like to make it to at least 30 days, but 90 days is what i'm working towards in order to see if it really benefits me.

Usually you will have a flatline at some point in 30 days and it makes it easier, but then watch out when the flatline ends, because you will have stronger urges.
I think the flatline, probably ebs and flows... sometimes it's there and sometimes it goes away, but I'm not sure, because I haven't made it past 22 days, which is about the time that my drive starts coming back.
For my last two experiences the flatline seems like it lasts from day 4, until day 18, but this process isn't linear so I have no clue if that's right.

People in here are probably sick of hearing me say it, but please consider mindfulness meditation. It has the power to help you deal with temptation both in the short run and in the long run. It's all about training your brain to spot the temptation (or anxiety or anger or whatever) and deal with it before it converts into action. Happy to tell you more, recommend some books, etc. if you're interested.

I personally have not had problems keeping my mind off of PMO. I am stuck in self pity and want to make things right with my wife, so my mind has been preoccupied.I have been thinking about throwing myself into video games or exercise as well.

It has been 3 days since I have done anything and I feel proud of myself. Just think about how good of a feeling it will be to have control of your life!
