Just like I said, I've kinda quit smoking... And I say "kinda" because I no longer buy cigarettes and I only smoke while I party wich is only a couple of times a year (yes, that's life when you reach 30's and your friends start to have babies). So that's my way of kinda quiting a bad habit, by smoking less than 10 nails per year for the last 2 years. But suddenly realized that I masturbate a lot more than before and I find myself looking for porn everytime I'm bored. That's why I'm here right now: I'm masturbating almost 3 times per day, everyday, and now I barely have sex with my wife. So, I hope someone can relate to my story and give me some advice because I know this is not ok :S

Welcome to NoFap. I'm glad you've made progress towards quitting smoking. If you can quit that, you'll surely be able to quit masturbating. Masturbation is just as addictive as drugs; there are even withdrawal symptoms of masturbation (like irritability).

    Hello man and welcome!

Congrats on quitting, I envy you!

Im not a psychologist or any kind of professional, sounds to me like you have replaced one quick fix with another. Thats not bad or good, its simply not your desired outcome.

Nobody cares about how often you party, the important thing is enjoying it. And again, good stuff you manage to only smoke while going out:emoji_thumbsup::emoji_muscle:.

    • The Willpower Instinct by Kelly McGonigal. Its a book. I havent read it completely because I want to follow the practical advice she offers for a week before moving to the next chapter. Ive had good streaks Im happy with however.
    • Get a journal. Stay around and keep writing. Write down whatever you want, it works wonders.
Keep working hard, thats what it takes. Cu around!
