Yeah most of my relapses were a few hours of binges. It's not great, but don't feel it's the worst thing ever or anything.

There's generally two ways people try to recover.

1 - Stay away from porn for as many days as we can

2 - Stay away from porn AND work on fixing the problems that we use porn to avoid

Generally, a lot of people on NoFap will feel like they're hitting a brick wall using approach number 1. It may always be 3 days, or 1 week or 1 month. But they keep relapsing and feel they're not progressing.

You may find that you need to work on number 2 more.

    What does this look like?

Ask yourself what you would like to improve in your life? And what triggers you to use porn?

As an example, I want to get a job, and I want to improve my health. I also want to get a healthy relationship and realise the two things mentioned will hold me back.

Porn is an easy way to escape these uncomfortable feelings. And if I do nothing to improve those problems, that's where I find myself.

But if I work on them, look for work, do exercise, talk to new people. Then the majority of urges go away. Because I can feel things are changing.

That's the chaser effect, man,When you break the streak, the minimal fap kills your progress,as you will want more, and continue relapsing, the only way to quit is going trough without look back,if you fall one time youll fall forever. Its an addiction,is not less important than any other adicction in this world.Treat it like real

Thanks for the replies. My relapse just lasted about 5 days, I think downloading tinder made it a lot worst as well. Im going to restart today.

I know I can past a month this time. I just need to keep reminding myself why I am doing this

Honestly, I can totally relate my friend. I thought that maybe just one PMO session would “help” me feel better. Little did I know it would result in a hard relapse and continue on for the next few days. But it’s all apart of the learning process, and figuring out what works and what doesn’t work. I think that deleting tinder is definitely the best thing you can do for yourself! I found that really any dating apps during this process just make you not just more stressed, but ramp up emotions that can trigger us guys to deal with the potential rejection or frustration of not getting those one night stands or whatever you may be after from those apps. But keep up on pushing through, and you’ll reach that goal soon!

  7. Think about it when you relapse. DO YOU REALLY FEEL GOOD? IF IT SUCKS THEN WHY YOU DO IT AGAIN?
there is only one reason that you relapse. Not the triggers, not your urges. IT IS YOU! YOU DON'T WANT TO DO NOFAP SO YOU DO PMO INSTEAD! You are not dedicated enough so you end up failing. NOTHING IS STOPPING OR MAKING YOU TO DO PMO, OTHER THAN YOURSELF. Nobody is pointing a gun at you to either fap or die. NO DUDE! It is an obsession and you choose porn. The door to heaven is always opened, but just that you don't want to leave hell. If this the case then I can't help.

Good luck on your reboot journey
