Semen Retention is bullshit, emissions are inevitable

Reading that and seeing Aang smiling that way is quite an amusing combination.

  2. You have a point. Some days I have felt better after ejaculation after a certain stopping point for a streak. To be honest I didn't feel ashamed at all or like I lost something. I remember a few times I had wet dreams after a week. I could actually stop the ejaculation in the dream before it has happened. Haven't had one in a while though.

I completely agree there. All you gotta do is keep things natural, so no meddling around with our body's natural functions like nocturnal emissions.

Nonsense. Nocturnal emissions are not natural, they are diabolical inventions created by the original sin. Why would your body would naturally eliminate the lifeforce that forces us to live life? You are probably a spy of the pornography industry. Begone and take your disgusting common sense with you.

Yeah, I disagree. This whole thread is just allegory so here's my slice. I know for a fact you can go without wet dreams and when you do so you feel far superior than when you do. I know that having and untrained lustful mind is what triggers wet dreams. I also know how I feel after a wet dream and its no different from the feeling of a relapse. So now that I pulled that out of my ass with nothing but personal experience, no its not bullshit. Maybe you just don't care for the practice at that level of commitment. That's fine but its not bullshit.

Sorry but you are the one espousing "bullsh*t" here.

Nocturnal emissions are certainly not good for you, and are a sign of kidney essence depletion, or excess of built up sexual frustration/lust.

Ejaculation of any manner will deplete your internal reserves and cause fatigue, muscle weakness, brain-fog, and a host of other issues, semen is naturally broken down and re-absorbed into the body after 68-72 days, so there is no mechanic in the body necessary for "getting rid of semen". It is a self-contained recyling unit, for instance; how can one go on a 30, 60, or 100 day streak of no ejaculation, then suddenly have 2 or 3 wet dreams in a row? What is the logic behind this if it is a natural and necessary mechanic of the body?

Please learn something about the subject you talk about with such false sense of authority before spouting ridiculous statements with no bearing in reality or truth.

    There is plenty of information on how to prevent nocturnal emissions, I will give you a few tips;

Sleep on your side (preferably left side) with legs slightly crossed at the ankles, this is called "Slaying the White Dragon" by Taoist monks.

Avoid "warming" or stimuling foods/spices/drinks in the evenings, we are talking things like chillies, Indian spices, black pepper, juniper berries, etc...

Do not focus on lustful things or view materials that encourage such thought, concious or subconcious.

Go to bed as early as you can (10pm is a good middle ground) and wake up in the early morning.

Keep your internal energy moving by performing either moderate excercise frequently, and/or using your creativity for productive purposes.

Meditation/qigong/internal alchemy are of course of extreme benefit if you are able to direct your energy to different areas of the body, especially before sleeping.

Shisandra berries are extremely benefit as "astringent herbs" and will help to retain your energy rather than allowing it to be dispelled so easily.

Improve your will power and purpose, and you will actually be able to intervene during your dreams to prevent them from occuring.

Do not go to bed with a full stomach or full bladder.

Those are all I can think of off of the top of my head (how many times can I say of and off in a sentence?), feel free to message me if you want any further advice or information.

The best way is to just reduce excess sleep, some people sleep very little and don't have any wet dream

You need to build up the energy first though, otherwise you will be in constant deficit. Trying to sleep little whilst being plagued by wet dreams is like trying to drive from one country to another with a tiny amount of fuel and a leaking fuel tank.

Best to spend at minimum 30 days ejaculation free before trying to minimise sleep, there was a great Qigong master who was the Abott of the Shaolin Temple in the 1970s who only "slept" sitting upright in full lotus position, and with his eyes open, for over 70 years.

There are many gnanis in india they don't sleep at all, here's the thing, we just need to let our physical body to rest and we can already reduce the amount of sleep needed, also it depends on food intake, if you eat alot you will have alot of wet dreams PLUS, you will fall asleep.

So people are suggesting to give up your sleep, which is essential for functioning, just to prevent yourself from getting emissions.
Can somebody show me the wisdom here.
I think having a good night's sleep will give me more superpowers than holding in any amounts of the sticky stuff

My comment was sarcastic but the increasing cult-like thinking in NoFap is making me consider leaving the site.

I know. I was just in on the sarcasm. I can see that cult-like thinking in this post. Definitely bothering me a bit.

So tonight I had a nocturnal emission, after a long time, I literally felt DRAINED, my lower body had lower energies, my energy levels down. I believe this happened because before going to sleep I ate too much.

I GUARANTEE you if you do full abstinence for a long period of time, you are immaculate in waking state, have impressive energy levels, and then you have an emission, the following morning you will feel like SHIT, because your energy levels in your body will have a sudden change and you are not used to it.

    Hope that helps.

I had a different experience, I had a wet dream at night and when I got up I felt as bad as I normally do. I actually felt better due to the soreness being gone.
