Hey all it sucks but im an addict.

Discussion in 'New to NoFap' started by Mr. McMarty, May 24, 2019.

  1. This is my first post, although I got this account a couple of months ago. That alone didn't change me Hahaha.
I have a supportive wife and an excellent relationship, but I cant go longer than two or three days without porn. It affects every part of my life because I live a secret lie.

Yesterday after going a couple of days without porn and ejaculation, I started to feel hopeless like my brain was going to die. I am super sexual focused all the time.

Naturally, I am also into the worst kind of porn. Rape, abuse, insest. Sick stuff. I would give anything to get control of my life.

    What more can I say

  3. Thank you for your support.
After reading a little in the forum, I m going to do a one week no PMO includes the beautiful wife.
I hope it will get me over the 2 or 3 day withdrawal period for starters.

  4. It's good that you've decided to take the first steps on the road to recovery from your addiction. I know all too well how powerful it can be, and the sorts of things that are involved with it.

Always remember that you're in this to better yourself!

NoFap has the potential to be a great resource when it comes to ending this addiction, but you have to utilize it to it's full potential!

I would recommend starting a journal here. Just select a category according to your age group, and start one! Trust me, it'll be a great thing. It'll help you track progress, gain support, and most of all it'll help you stay dedicated to the journey!

Welcome to the community, and good luck! :)

Yes; you will find support here; there are a little of everything but do it for the right reasons and no one will stop your healing. Not even your addiction.

    Welcome Mr. McMarty,

What you will face, when you are ready, is that you are not addicted to anything. It's a lie of Satan. One you've allowed in, and it has strengthened itself every thought that opposes God. You are in rebellion. A very dangerous place to be. You can overcome when you understand you can. When you agree with Satan, that he temporarily has his hold over you, and you renounce and take back your Christian authority. You can do this by use of your prepared spiritual weapons. This will not happen overnight. View the words that you wrote here, because when viewing them and taking in how you write/speak you will become aware who your giving glory to. Learn to speak Godly faith. And learn not to waver in faith. Otherwise you cannot expect anything from God. Test the spirits: Please, go to 1 John 4 and confess both you and your wife what it tells you. Find out if God dwells within you, and your wife. Start there. Then find my Journal and read through it with your wife. Learn God's commandments.

  8. Hi, actuly I am a Calvinist. Believers will persevere in salvation because God will see to it that none will be lost. Believers are secure in the faith because God will finish the work he began.

  11. In short, Satan doesn't really do a whole lot of work in the Reformed tradition, or, honestly, in most other confessional Christian traditions (Catholicism, Lutheranism, Anglicanism, Orthodoxy). Calvin, in discussing the Fall, references Satan's existence and role in the story, but lays the blame squarely on Adam and his rebellion. We believe that he is real, as Scripture doesn't seem to give any other options there, but Scripture makes it equally clear that evil comes from within the human heart, not from without, that the children of God are the enemies of Satan (Gen. 3), and that Satan is destroyed in the end (Rev. 20).

You give Satan power when you teach people he is the cause of their sickness. We are born in darkness and will die in the darkness of the heart. We only have the faith God has given us not something we worked up or decided we would have for ourselves. If God doesn't want you to have salvation, you don't get to have it because only God can give it. Anything else would be a work and we both know works cant get you faith or into heaven.
