That's porn bro, it's all part of the same problem. Cut out all sources of sexual arousal in the first 90 days, and you will make it a lot easier on yourself.

Interesting take. Im considering porn as consciously and willing watching porno. Which i havent done in nearly 3 weeks. Im not sure if scrolling through ads are considered porn, however, it is creating if not a worse arousal and desire than any porn videos create within me.

it is clear i need to cut that shit out regardless what anybody wants to classify it, because it is producing similiar if not worse results within me.

    Thanks for the views.

Any artificial stimulation that causes arousal has the same effect on your neurological pathways as actual pornography. If you feel a rush looking at X, you should not look at X. The theory behind it is really that simple. It prolongs your reboot indefinitely.

yeah... adblock it man. And avoid sites/pages/instagrams etc which you know/suspect/already seen with porn at all costs. I do believe there is a differense in seeing something for a second and too look at it for minutes and getting stimulated by it. What I've done is to avoid it at all costs. I have fallen into the trap of staring for a few seconds and I've started to get aroused and then turned away and done something completely different to defeat the urge. This should almost have counted as a reset for me but I've chosen not to and to just work on my attitude for this type of exposure instead and my goal was never 90 days, my goal is forever or until science/data tells me that porn isn't as bad as it has been proven to be right now, which I do not believe is going to happen and the simple way of not doing it (PMO) seems so superior scientifically and personally.

    Hey jay2jay

I think like other members have mentioned, anything that is related to porn or which gets you sexually aroused should be treated as Porn! sounds silly, but that's that!

Even going after a video that has an exciting Thumbnail in Youtube is also considered as looking for porn, because you are pursuing a sexual object! Are you getting what I'm saying!

here's a tip man, take a page and divide it into 2, one side write a point on what will happen if you continue your PMO, after this write ur 1st point on other side on what will happen if you are PMO free...for example, mine would be, If I continue to PMO: 1-> I'm never going to experience True Joy in my Life on the other side 1-> I can experience Inner Peace if I stay way from PMO and direct my energies in meaningful pursuits! 2-> I cannot achieve any of my goals on the other side 2-> I have greater chances of succeeding in anything that I'm willing to work hard for.....n so on.

    Cold showers work like Magic!

Also, try eating Fresh Fruits whenever you can. What you eat has a direct link to how you feel. Avoid junk Food man!

  7. Jay, this is a No Brainer, you have to crush those cravings fapstronaut, and get back to basics.

It does not have to be porn, it is any hypersexualized thought you are using, pushing, to get a dopamine high. For a porn addict that can be anything even slightly sexual. Do the hard 90, no porn, no PMO, no MO, no O, no sex, no porn substitutes (like you have been using). That is just your addiction lying to you, telling you it is OK to get a dopamine high from P substitutes, when in fact it is talking you into staying addicted.

    Peace.

Thanks guys, and I agree, totally. I reset my counter the other day after the first reply. Where as I don't think it's "porn" per se, I do 100% believe it is detrimental to my mind body and spirit, and as mentioned, creates the same, if not worse effect within me that straight PMO does.

I guess I would classify this as 'artificial sexual stimulation' , which is then in the same category as porn , but not porn haha

Now im just messing around.. But in all seriousness, I am not doing NoFap/ no PMO for bragging rights, I am doing it because it is an issue that has been apparent for years now, and it is time to over come, by all means necessary.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

I learned a lot from the replies on this thread! Thanks everyone for sharing. One question though. If some P or P sub shows up on the screen without one looking for it, does that count as relapse? e.g. a lingerie ad shows up on a shopping site page, is that considered a relapse?
