In your opinion, is moderate masturbation without porn still a bad thing?

I also posted this to the subreddit, but got almost no attention.

So yeah guys, I just relapsed.

Even though this isn't a long time of not fapping, I think NoFap corrected myself a lot. Before starting this journey, I was a PMO addict, especially porn addict. I was aggressive and nervous everyday. Couldn't survive every single day without porn and MO-ing to it.

After about 5-10 days, the urges for PMO completely vanished. I felt super energetic and I drove the bike all the day. The flatline didn't last too much, for about 1 week, until I got two wet dreams. And yeah, everyday was like this, I felt energetic and all.

I think that porn is something that is really bad for our brains, not masturbation. Even animals masturbate. But still, if we are addicts to one of these, we should absolutely abstain some time from that and I respect every creator and member of NoFap who are trying to help people get rid of their bad addictions. PMO addiction is nothing different from nicotine, cocaine or weed addiction.

I personally think that masturbation without porn is actually good but with limit, for example once every 1-2 weeks. As I said, porn is something that affects our brains a lot. Masturbation can do a lot of damage too if you fap 5 times a day. And if you do that, you should really go on hard mode NoFap and go for 90+ days without fapping, it will improve your life a lot. I think I can reboot much faster than 90 days, as you can see I wasn't even halfway to the end but I still got almost all the benefits.

I blocked all pornography in my router settings so no one who is connected to my Wi-Fi can't watch any type of pornography, including myself. And I wish that I never watch porn again. Just to notice, I didn't relapsed to porn, imagining something or so.

So, I think that is everything I have to say. Maybe I missed something, maybe not but still, I think you got the point.

Good luck and stay strong, friends.

It's probably not too bad. But it's probably still better to not.

That's great news that you've seen such healing in such a short time. I agree with you as far as M being ok, moderately. But, if a person is addicted, they MUST stop. Complete monk mode, which in my case, is exactly what I need.

It's really up to you! You can try and see it for yourself. For me there is no moderation. If I masturbate all those memories and pictures flood my brain and before I know it, it's a goddamn avalanche. I binge like hell then I feel the worst way possible. This is always your choice to make but I think it's another way that our minds try to persuade that it's OK and we can do it to some extent. I've seen people here rationalizing use of porn too as if it ever was!
Good luck mate. Hope this helps.

So we seem to all agree moderate M isn't that harmful. But is there a benefit? If not why bother?

Masturbation after you break your addiction isn't bad, but there is no reason for it.
Since you have the choice, wouldn't it be better to have lots of energy from sperm retention? Masturbation has no benefits.
At the very least, have sex, don't fuck yourself.

@Kein11 What happened actually? Did you watch porn and masturbated to it?

I must agree with you. Now I can masturbate whenever I want, like everyday, once a week, once a month or so. But still it's pointless to fap after breaking the addiction, as you have said.
Yes, it's better to have a lots of energy and have the benefits from sperm retention. And hell yeah, it does feel good when you are full of energy and not exhausted and lazy.
I haven't said that I will masturbate again or not, just to ask you about your opinion for that. Thanks for your reply.

I've been addicted to porn more than masturbation. Every damn time I open the new incognito tab and start watching videos I would masturbate to it. 3-4 times a day, man that's too much. Everytime I finished the job, I felt bad so I decided to do this challenge and, as you can see, it has helped me a lot. Now I don't have any urge to watch porn or masturbate.

How can you call this a relapse? I am still interested what actually happened.

Because I fapped and ejaculated to nothing. Got some urges in the toilet, I could resist them as always but I did this on purpose and I feel like a crap for that. And yeah, by nothing I mean really nothing, didn't imagine anything.

Nice post! Personally I'd say don't fap after 90 days. If you see it like that you will just look forward toward the 90 days because you then allow yourself to fap again. Plus, sperma retention keeps you energized, why would you want to throw that away? It's personal preference but I suggest just go on with your life! Accept that nofap has become a part of it.
Goodluck and get your streak going again. You can do it
