So today marks day 72 of my longest streak ever, and I find myself in the midst of a 2 and a half week flatline. Today I woke up just really frustrated with everything. I went to the gym and I didn’t even feel like finishing my workout just due to the anger I found myself filled with.

So this triggered me to want to relapse, and at first I fought off these thoughts, but I wanna day for a 5-10 mins I gave in and found myself at around peak arousal while I entertained these thoughts. I didn’t relapse and I didn’t look anything up, but I feel guilty for giving into these thoughts even if it didn’t lead to a full-blown relapse. This has continued throughout today, so all in all I'd say I've spent a good 10-20 mins heavily fantasizing.

Despite not looking at P or M’ing, should I consider resetting my counter since I voluntarily indulged in sexual P fantasy? And how far does fantasizing to this degree set you back?

  2. No don’t reset. Just stay strong and remind yourself why you’re doing this.
    Try not to fantasise again

I personally wouldn't be worried about what happened. As far as I'm concerned, you had a stressful experience, and your brain tried resorting to its old habit of PMO to relax...and you didn't give in! So well done.

The fantasizing part is pretty normal. As you go further along Nofap, these occurrences will happen less often. You're starving your brain of what it used to binge on, so expect some bumps along the road.
