Okay, so I woke up this morning at home alone and was feeling really tempted to look at something arousing. I was contemplating in my mind whether or no I should (obviously I shouldn’t), but some how I justified it in my mind. I searched up an old porn video I used to watch, and to my surprise I wasn’t phased by it a bit. I didn’t get aroused at all, I watched a few minutes of it, then tried looking at another video. I wasn’t turned on in the slightest, my dick didn’t even twitch. After seeing that, I just got up and went to eat breakfast.

My question is does this mean anything, is this good or not? I usually would get turned on instantly just from searching it, but even after watching a video for a few minutes doesn’t affect me. Really weird, I was horny too when I did this, but it seemed that the porn had the opposite effect of what it was intended to have.

Any thoughts on this matter would be appreciated.

  2. Yeah it happens to me as well, but usually especially after I've been on a streak for a week or more. I've tried watching porn after I've been on a streak for a while, which ultimately usually leads to relapse, but at first it doesn't turn you on. I think it's a good sign. It means you're making progress.

Don't test it, and just let it be. You're fine. I wouldn't worry about it.

    Hope this helps! :D

It looks like you are starting to recover. Porn doesn't tempt you that much anymore like before and that's a good sign. You start to realize how disgusting porn actually is, consciously and subconsciously. Don't provoke it though by watching more porn, you could kickstart your old system and relapse. You lose control faster than you can think. A short "just one more second" can turn into watching more and more out of curiosity and before you realize you start to fap, which feels so good because you didn't touch your wiener for such a long time.
My advice: It's a good sign you didn't get aroused, but don't risk it further.

  4. I think this is the case with recovering addicts that are somewhere in the middle, they won't feel a thing when viewing porn as they recognize it's disgusting, but still watch it out of curiosity. However, when I've watched porn, even when not horny at all down there, I've always relapsed. This has happened in the next few hours or even days. The brain wants its fix so bad, and it might need several viewing sessions to get it going. Ultimately, it leads down to a relapse in my case. So never peek at porn as that will always damage your recovering brain even if you don't feel horny at all.
