I've stumbled upon this software and i'm downloading it. Wanna see if it's helpful. Do you know any good website blockers other than this?

    Covenant eyes is superb.
    You cannot cheat it.
It uses a filter and screen accountability using AI.
    Highly recommended.

  3. I also recommend accountability software instead of mere blockers. Much harder to cheat and they have accountability baked right into the cake! I use Accountable2You and have been happy with it for the past few years.

Thank you, i installed it and set it up to block everything except some pages but it doesn't work.
I will take a look at those accountability softwares but... are they for free or a paid service? can you deactivate the blockage or not?

  5. A2U is a paid service - $7 per month. It can be deactivated but it sends a message to all your APs when you do.

Covenant Eyes is great. Also, if you have an iPhone you can have someone set the restrictions pin code. That filters out content through a parental mode, that's what I use and it's been extremely helpful.

The best thing about covenant eyes is that my wife will know if ai search, look up, stumble upon anything that is not good for me. She is also the admin so there is absolutely no way I could turn it off or uninstall as you have to request a code to do this.
If I did this, of course, she would ask why?!?!
This is one of the reasons I have been clean since the start of the year.
It just removes the element of choice and the internal struggles that come with it.
The relief I felt knowing that I simply could not actually get to erotica anymore at all was profound.

Well it sounds really good, i wouldn't mind paying for it but i have no one to actually ask to set a pin code since i'm not in a relationship and my parents of course know that i spend too much time on my pc and that's ok but i cannot speak to them about "certain things"...
Or i could simply block everything erotic and then set a random pin that i forget a second later lol
Btw i have an android as a cellphone.

    Yeah I get that.
The setting a random pin thing will work but I wonder if the 'not accessing the bad stuff' is only half of the issue. The other half is having someone in on this with you to support you. The great thing about accountability is connecting with another person who knows you.
I know it probably is the last thing on your mind but perhaps talking to your parents or a family member or reliable and trustworthy friend is the best way. I know you would rather do anything than to open up about this, but do you think I wanted to tell my wife?
The more secrecy and shame and hiding there is in addiction, the less chance you have of success.
    Good luck.

    You're right.
And congrats on your almost 6 months of abstinence!
