I'm a single 42 y/o not a lot of interest in women, I prefer the single life but I have had a couple of girlfriends over the past 10 years. When I have had girlfriends I never had a single issue performing, quite the opposite actually.

My symptoms were absolute rage over anything but silence. Anything you can think of annoyed me, I was miserable from it. Short fuse, anger, hate. I never really acted on it other than in my car a few times, but the amount of negative and angry words streaming through my head was enough to make me suicidal.

So a couple of months ago I decided to stop watching porn, I felt very little withdrawal, just some discomfort from breaking my routine which was only watching it for 30 mins in the evenings. Usually 3 days a week. Never felt the need to watch outside of my usual times.

I've watched a couple of times since I stopped my routine and every time I'm completely miserable for 2-3 days, then I come out of it and I feel like a new person. But I don't really miss it, I mean it feels like I'm going to blow if a hot girl even touches me, but it I'm getting far more in return for fighting the urge.

I can't believe how much clearer my brain is at work and how much nicer of a person I am, and I see women completely differently now.

All of this seems contradictory to typical nofap stories but damned if I don't feel like a completely new person.

  2. Sounds awesome brother. Keep going with your new life!

  3. You may not have had an addiction, as many here do. (Addiction = harmful behavior you want to but cannot easily stop through sheer force of will.) Nonetheless, any amount of P and most (if not all) MO is not helpful for anyone, and you are finding this out for yourself by quitting and experiencing the results first-hand. Well done!

Stick with your new-found sobriety. Life is simply better when it is free of PMO.
