200 days with those symptoms are outstanding, i know that, i had withdrawal symptoms for 170 days.

  4. 21 months and most of my symptoms are just gone just seems like a bit of a flat mood left and sex drive is still waiting to come. Hang on in there...

  5. I cant imagine relapsing after more than 3 months, must be heartbreaking, its hard enough for me going 3 days at the moment.

I'm really happy for you. I was following you the last year with another nickname (they banned me). I'm really happy you feel better, and that also gives me hope.

Have you been clean for all the 21 months? No PM or no PMO? 21 months in one streak?

  7. Thanks mate, I have MO’ed probably about half a dozen times. It doesn’t seem to effect me that much in terms of a full blown relapse. Puts me in a lazy like slump for a day or two then then it seems I’m good to go. I wouldn’t go abusing MO though. I reckon a few months of hardmode and fingers crossed I’ll have a good enough sex drive. Mentally I’m doing much better.

Exactly, thank you for saying that on this board. Once you are far along this recovery like you said you have to work twice as hard to get that feeling of improvement and self worth back. It’s not going to be easy like self medicating and getting that high again. It will take a long time as most guys have to work and change their way of life as well and what they are doing whether it be their job, socializing more, going out more and exercising. It’s hard but self improvement is the best thing in life and most important is finding our purpose and what we do to help others. Which brings us the most happiness.

Good job Lebowski... I’m generally the same way right now. I’ve actually been able to do hard mode for about eight months now but had slips of edging while liking at porn but no PMO though. I feel like at this point my flat mood and low sex drive will take time for my brain to finally stop waiting to get it’s rush form porn and from real life. It’s going to take me more than a year thigh that’s for sure.

"The only cure is time. I tried all these other things like meditation, cutting out certain things in my diet, wasting money on all kinds of supplements, exercise, cutting out the internet. In the end the only thing that worked for me was time. And when I recovered mediation, exercise and eating healthily became something I was naturally motivated to do. I even lost interest in browsing the internet which I did nearly all day. I'm not saying stop doing these positive habits but telling it how it was for me.

Yes porn can cause this. I know because I'm back here writing this. Earlier this year (Jan) i looked at porn for 1 minute. Literally under 1 minute (didn't even fap, just looked). I then experience a return of symptoms to a lesser degree (the head sensations/pressures/tingling and brainfog mainly) and I'm still experiencing them after 5 months now. Crazy. But I can also feel them slowly slipping away again now and am hopeful they will be gone again very soon. Yes there are people like us but they usually disappear when their symptoms resolve and so its hard to find such cases online. I know because I disappeared from these kind of forums when my symptoms resolved the first round and had no intentions on returning until I relapsed."

I came to this conclusion as well

  15. Thank you for the informative post. It's rare to find posts regarding PAWS, every bit of information is helpful! I watched porn as well after 42 days streak, like one minute or less of videos and a few minutes of pictures. I didn't even get an erection and the symptoms returned back worse, but it wasn't as bad as a full on PMO. I still experience the floaty feel and some dizziness and head pressure but they're a lot better than when I started about 45 days ago when I couldn't even walk long distances because I felt like I was passing out. We just have to accept that we're done with PMO for the rest of our lives.

I'm 14 months in, and i'm starting to feel ok in the last 2 months. Not great, i would say ok, but i would say, for now, i'm not super depressed anymore, and that's a good thing.

I think i'm also getting 1% better every months. It's 20 years of porn, i can't get healed in a year.

  17. That's exactly what it is. Us guys have been on the unfortunate end of a severe end of abuse and have a bit of grief recovering from it. Its human nature to want to recover fast but unfortunately it doesnt work like that. But I can guarantee we at least feel better off than the start of rebooting/prior I know I do.

    totally bro
it's crazy how this shit (PMO) changes our brain and body so much in a harmful way
The other day I saw a guy saying that PMO withdrawals are WORSE than heroine withdrawals, I think he's right...

ATM physically I'm way better, I can walk for an hour without my feet and heels hurting and aching, I started exercising 2 months ago (after over a year without training, just sedentary because I had no energy) 2x a week, my body is stronger but not 100% yet, my shortness of breath/shallow breathing has also improved (whereas before? I couldn't breath straight and it was shallow as fuck)
I feel my gut system getting better as well, I don't know what that is and that might be a mistery, but those PAWS also affect your gut/intestinal health (at least in my case), I don't know why or how! and this also happens to people having heroine withdrawal, they have terrible gut symptons, it just goes to show that our biology is 100% interconnected, you affect one system (mind by PMO'ing or doing heroing..) you're gonna mess up with your whole physiology!

  20. Yea my gut issues cleared up within 4-6 months. Previously I had years of IBS/nervous stomach like issues that plagued me. I even had one day where my stomach, the sensation inside, felt like something was healing. I cant really describe it. But the brain and gut are linked for sure.

    These days I'm doing better.
