    I’ll keep quiet then ;-)

    35 x 2 = 70 months, or 2,131 days. Excellent, I’ve only got 1,724 to go!

Don't worry, I'm not on the monk mode triple, just no porn or masturbation.

I am amazed that I have managed this, and grateful to everyone here who has helped and encouraged me. But I still feel like an addict, it is still hard to resist pornography. It is getting easier, but I wonder if it is like being an alcoholic i.e. I'll never feel fully 'cured'.

That isn't universal if alcoholics and it isn't universal of any addiction. Look up the Rat Park studies.

Approaching one year, not even close of being cured from the withdrawals..

This is the hardest test I have ever faced

Dude.. only now am I getting out of my flatline after 2 years and 4 months, so yeah some flatlines take longer, when you're young and you abused the drug since your childhood, that's the price you pay, at least you learn the lesson

Hi bro. When you hit the 4th month and feel like you've started your journey yesterday, you might not take the withdrawal thing as fun. This thing is worse than anything. I had rather be I heroin addict and maybe I would have suffered less

do you mean to say heroin withdraws are less worse than PMO withdrawals?

"I think I'm having really bad withdrawal symptoms like depression, ocd like symptoms and anxiety. I have also lost interest in everything (this happened a year ago but it is now a bit worse), I also feel a sense of confusion and a feeling of being lost aswell the lack of want for socialising with people. But I've heard this is normal for the most part and have experienced similar things before when going on long streaks and I think it's from dopamine withdrawal."
100% spot on, that's exactly what I've been going through, flatline/withdrawal symptoms are hell on earth

Yes mate. They might be less harmful than pmo withdrawals. In my opinion. Pmo is the new hell. Keep up dude. And dont give up. 1 year you neef to see benfits in many cases

  17. How are you doing mate? Any noticeable changes after three years? Any signs of libido?

My libido is like 10 out of 100 to put it that way, I feel my energy more stable but still, below a threshold I consider healthy
The worst symptom in my opinion by far is anhedonia, I hate it with all my forces, can't stand it
but Like I said before, I'm getting 1% better each month, slow I know, but it's progress!

I'm about to take provigil to see if it will alleviate some of this flatline, lethargy, depression I've been feeling
Beyond that, I'm doing everything in my power that can help me, yoga, meditation, bioenergetics, exercise (just twice per week because.. low energy)

I can subscribe to everything you've written. Anhedonia, severe depression, social anxiety, "Lebensangst", low levels of energy. I'm contributing these symptoms partly to dopamine deficiency (low dopamine receptor numbers + no daily PMO dopamine fix = brain not getting enough dopamine -> anhedonia, depression) partly to preexisting depression/anxiety issues. It's the perfect storm, combination of PMO withdrawal side effects and too low dopamine/serotonin levels to begin with. First part (D receptors count and PFC gray matter volume) should normalize within 6-11 months (numbers based on addicted brain's scan studies), the other part is way more worrisome. How one gets rid of chronic depression and social anxiety that led them and kept them in PMO addiction rabit hole for 2 decades? I don't know. All I know I'm currently experiencing a total breakdown.
