    hi there,
Just joined this community today. I can’t stop it. I want to. But it’s hard. I have tried before and was able to go many weeks without porn and masturbation. If I am out or at a friend’s place or my girlfriend’s, I have no urge. But when I’m home, sometimes I do it 3 times a day. Most of the time it is once a day. I will skip a day here and there. Where do I start?

Hi! Firstly you need to learn everything about pornography addiction. www.yourbrainonporn.com is a great website for this. Secondly, you find some tools to get you out of from porn induced dopamine addiction. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that gives pleasure in mammals brain. Learn about this brain hormone. And thirdly, prepare for withdrawal if you are an addict who use pornography to get a dopamine high for many years. Decide what's your best for your life, read and learn. Good luck on your journey!

  3. Many people here can relate to you, so do not feel weird. As you know, you need to dump all porn. All images and videos and even social media accounts that might trigger you. The longer you leave porn, the more you may find even so-called "mild" pics or vids will get you excited. You've got to dump them all now. You are still young and before this throws your life off in ways you could never predict you need to take control. Dealing with masturabation is next. It's useless and will rob you of your goals and relationships. The absolute best thing you can do is see a good therapist or psychologist. It's a big step, but nobody can do this without opening up to a professional. I wish I had done it decades ago. My life would have been very different, I am sure. And I'm talking about an addiction of nearly 5 decades.
