I am 27 and discovered porn at age 12. Since then, I have engaged in PMO basically daily (many days in a month 2-3x). It has controlled me and hindered me in becoming who I want to be, who I need to be. There have been days here and there where I have not but I only recently learned (here) that focusing on 'not doing it' does not work, since you are still focusing on the habit itself. In the last 10 years, I don't think I have gone more than 4 days without porn or masturbation. I was so glad to have found this site. I knew about brain fog, affect on relationships, confidence, views of women, difficulty being aroused with a woman, etc but they were all confirmed here. I want to conquer this addiction more than anything.
I am trying a reboot - 30 days without PMO. I am on day 4 right now. I have questions and I hope you guys can help me...
-Are there always withdrawals and if so how bad?
-Is the urge itself healthy? I wonder if I choose to masturbate (no porn) a few times a month, I will be okay..?
-After several successive reboots (or a really long one), have yall found that the temptation to look at porn was gone? I wonder if I need hardcore web blockers (K9 app, etc) long term for my phone and computer....

First of all If you Want to See Benefits then Stop Maturbation as well ... You Don'T Have to insolve in Any Sexual Activity for 30 days if you Want to see Good Progress of Reboot then Stay away from POM ... Stay Away from Maturbation.. Stay away everything that Triggers You Sexually..

And Yes There is Alot of Withdrawal Like headache Depression Few days in Month ... Strange Feelings Comes in Mind.. But its a Sign of Rewiring of Brain.. Dont Worry You Just Keep Going to Hit 30 Days without POM ...

And Remember Stay Strong You are Going To Face One of Hardest Challenge In Your Life So Whatever Happens Don'T POM .. Just Focus on Your Goal Good Luck

    m On Day 48 ...

    Get educated.

Read yourbrainonporn.com , read the book/ebook Your Brain on Porn: internet prornography and the emerging science of addiction.

Withdrawals are often subjective to your life. How stressful is your job, etc etc, will make your experience usually very unique. We're all talking degrees. I personally have not had headaches, just as an example of things that some people will get and others wont. The book I recommended above has a lot of examples of written testimonies of the experiences people have gone through and what they had and didn't have.

What should you expect? It will be like no roller coaster road you've ever taken. You'll be on top of the world, and the next you'll be in the corner of your room, rocking a shacking, trying your hardest to stop thinking about PMO. I'm totally exaggerating the actions, but I'd find it hard to believe anyone hasn't felt like they haven't starting to go slightly crazy.

Is masturbation healthy or not healthy, depends on who you talk to and their reasons for believing that. I choose not to masturbate because my sexual desires are a creation of my P tastes, you'll find most people here will say this. I'm 27, and I kinda remember that I didn't always enjoy the really extreme stuff I used to watch. The idea behind PMO is like said above, just to go back to your vanilla sexual desires.

How long will it take to get over this. Does a drug addict ever get over the addiction of drugs to the point that they know if they had one little hit, they wouldn't instantly get back into it? Is their life at a stage that the reason they did drugs was because they never had any stability in the first place? Are they happy? Two years from now, pmo free, you have a horrible time in your life, your girl friend leaves you and you're struggling at work, you decide to look at some P, do you relapse? I promise you, you most likely will. I've never reached 90 days, or can say I've had a successful reboot, not a lot of people who have been successful still use these forums, so you're asking people that don't really have experience to give you a diffident answer. If you asked me, for what I think? This part of your sexuality will always existent in your mind, but if you choose not to engage with it, it will come to a point where you don't use it for reference when thinking about this kinda stuff. Maybe you should read up of Neurol pathing and stuff like that, could be complicated but yeah.
