Its been a while since ive been able to go longer than a day without relapse. And when I relapse i watch a mixture of transwoman porn and heterosexual porn. This time ive masturbated at least 4 times in a night and 2 times today. Ive since decided i need help and made an appointment with my local therapist. Idk what they can do to help but I feel very trapped... I never thought id find my self here in life. Can anyone relate or offer some advice?

  2. just got out of a 3 month rehab and honestly the best method out there for quitting pmo all together is internet isolation, when i was gone i had no urges or thoughts of pmo, now that i am out i am almost fully rebooted and my desire is very low, the temptation still exists but i have a handle on it now.

Going to see a therapist is a good idea. Medical science recognizes that porn is an addiction like drugs and alcohol. Your therapist will probably suggest cognitive therapy. My only advice is try to recognize what triggers you to relapse and watch porn, replace old bad habits with good ones and do some research on porn addiction and side effects. This could help you.

  4. therapy is always a good option however not necessary, he just needs to throw out all his electronics that have internet for 3 months.

Being online those have an impact, I agree with you. He should reduce his online time by doing other things constructive.

  6. i agree but i think online should be completely wiped out, i tried to limit it and do other things but i always ended up back, you must remove the temptation alltogether.

Some of the temptation depends what you view online. I know social media, dating sites and Facebook are very tempting to fap and can lead you back easily to porn. If going offline for three months helps to reshape the brain and acquire better habits, then it is worth a try. All depends what use one has for electronics, if it is more practical or more of a nuisance for the individual.

It’s very important to see a CSAT therapist. (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist)
They have more expertise in you issue.

  10. i understand, however you cannot rely on the help of other to get you through forever, eventually you need to do it yourself, you already have every tool you need to quit, its already inside of you, so dont worry and give it a shot.
