Truthfully porn is the least of my worries. Going to Dominatrix's is my issue. Femdom porn doesn't help, but I have had this issue longer than the internet existed. In any case Abstinence is the way I will go forward.

The only way to get rid of porn is if each of us stops using it. Supply and demand brothers and sisters, it's that simple and that impossible.
We can't change the world, we can only change ourselves.
If legal porn is illegalized, then it will go underground, but still be just as available and lead to more sex trafficking than there is now.
I wish I could make all the evil in the world go away. I can't. What I, all of us can do, is to change ourselves first and then maybe act as a positive influence on our tiny part of the world and those around us.

    1. Money
    2. A lot of politicians 'enjoy' porn.
    3. There is a sexual revolution recently where hookup culture is the norm and anything goes... family values have been eroded.
    4. Men who have porn have weakened will and lack of drive for real partners

that being said you cant blame anyone for your addiction.
It would have been easy for me to blame the people running the sites, the actresses, the internet, the government that refuses to ban it. But this is counter productive, it takes away responsibility from yourself. And taking responsibility for this is the only thing that will get you out of this.

There are multiple reasons, why banning porn is not as easy or good as some of the people in this thread seem to believe:

    1. It's almost impossible. There are so many technical options to go around blocks (yes, also block by the state), that a ban doesn't make a difference. Anyone, who wants to watch porn, will still be watching it.

    2. It's not the states job to control the peoples live, although they often seem to forget that. Everybody must have the choice to do what they want, as long as they don't impact others directly with it. It's none of the goverments business, if some guy wants to watch porn and jerk off.

    3. Banning does not work to stop behaviors. We've seen it multiple times in history: The War on Drugs? Failed utterly. The alcohol prohibition? Failed utterly. A potential porn ban? Will fail utterly, too. People do not stop a behavior they like, just because it's banned. All you do by banning is to push it into the black market and potentially into criminality. And that's not a smart move.

    4. Addicts like to generalize their own pathological use to the entire society. You fail to notice, that there are a lot (and I mean that: a lot!) of people, who don't have problems with porn or because of porn. Just because we all here can't control it, does not mean nobody can. In fact, the majority of people can control their use without negative consequences.

So, to believe a porn ban will make your situation or the situation of someone else better magically is naive to say the least. A lot better approach is education. Most people stay away from drugs, not because they're illegal but because they got taught about the potential consequences. People have to learn about the potential effects of porn and then it's their job to decide, if they still want to watch or not.

India has taken a stance on this but you cant stop people from being people its crazy addictive. Remember what happened when the govt tried to illegalize alcohol? Also you expect wayyyyyy too much from the govt if you think they're necessarily good at accomplishing the best things for their countrymen
