You're not pathetic.I can bet there's not one person that tried quitting a masturbation addiction and succeeded on the first try.
I got a few tips for you as someone who's on day 37.

First - and probably most important. If you have any female friends/models/whatever whose pictures you can't resist looking at(same goes for porn, but on a much larger scale,obviously)- RESIST.That's POISON.It doesn't only increase your urge while you look. You keep thinking about it after you stop aswell. And when you're trying to resist the temptation, the images make it much, much,MUCH harder.

Second - Music helps.Try listening to some songs that make you feel pure,or something that makes you feel all riled up and ready for a challenge.

Third - Avoid caffeine...it seems to make hormones go cuckoo. I learned that yesterday, the hard way.Last Wednesday,i had a giant cup of ice coffee, had a wet dream the same night.Didn't even think it was related.Yesterday, same thing.Had TWO wet dreams the same night...never TOUCHING any kind of coffee ever again...definitely not in the evening.

Fourth - Try having an air conditioner or computer humming in your room while you're in bed.Complete silence makes your thoughts more focused - and much harder to get rid of.The humming noise makes your thoughts much more loose, more vague, easily shiftable between. At least it does for me,maybe for some people this will sound like complete nonsense:D

Five - Don't give up.Took me a good half a year to get as far as I am (And I'm still being hindered by wet dreams, can't get rid of that yet) so keep on trying,it can't hurt.If anything,it should make you feel better about yourself that you're doing everything you can to become a better person.

Best of luck to you, I hope that it won't take too long to get rid of the fap monster. And also that you won't get the wet dreams monster after that.THAT is much harder to get rid of:confused:

Wow I wasn't expecting such a great reply so soon!

    1. Ok yes I still have a few pictures of my ex who is still my closest friend, she really is beautiful and she still turns me on. So maybe it's time for those pics to go, as difficult as that may be.

    2. I do have music that helps me, I just haven't really realised it or made better use of it. I guess now I will try!

    3. I'm not really a big tea/coffee drinker but I do still have at least 1 a day! So no more then :)

    4. This is a very interesting one. My mind is always very active and thinking about random shit. Mostly useless shit or unnecessary worrying or such like. Maybe I'll try leaving my desktop PC on tonight? I'll give it a go.

    5. Thanks man. I haven't given up and I won't. Just fucking angry with myself as well as disappointed. Good luck with the wet dreams man! I've only ever had about 2 in my whole life lol. Too much fapping like a loser. I'm not sure there's a whole lot you can do to dry solve your problem? I dunno, will do some research online.

Good luck as you continue your journey like a nofap beast!

I hear ya! Took me awhile to get past 4 days let alone one day at times...

I try to plan out my whole week day by day (isn't as boring as one thinks), listen to alternative hard rock during showers, put on 'mind-numbing' sports radio at bed and running/going to the gym on a 3-4 day basis. If going to the gym is too much of a temptation then start with walking, running or riding a bike, etc.

Might have to consider reducing my own caffeine intake

There are hours and hours of youtube videos of e.g. thunderstorms or waterfalls (some with, some without that new-age-hippie music, whatever floats your boat ;))
Install blockers, and if you (like me) circumvent them, make it more difficult. Install blockers for blocking the blockers. Don't cripple your internet, just make it annoying to get around them so you're reminded why you put them there and have time to think about it before you actually get to your fix.
Alternatively, go for a walk. Get away from the computer and the environment that supports the frame of mind you're in when you feel the urge strongly. Put the energy somewhere else.

Been struggling with PMO for years, and did alot of research.

    1) take the decision and sit down to write reasons why you " should and will stop porn and why you hate porn" reasons may vary from because it ruins me to fuck that shit to cause it drains my energy
    2) then write down what your triggers are, triggers are basically what drives you to watch porn. Example : i ALWAYS ALWAYS get triggered when i have my phone in with me while i take my post-gym shower, and it always end in a porn session so i stopped taking my smartphone in with me to the bathroom
    3) you obviously relapse alot, and thats cool cause relapsing is a lesson to learn your trigger. whenever you relapse, note down what your trigger was until you know what to avoid
4)DO NOT AIMLESSLY SURF THE WEB. its basically asking to relapse. " oh ill check facebook, oh this vine has boobs, oh she is hot, oh shit i relapsed again

    hope i helped

First, adjust your mindset. Mocking yourself isn't the right attitude, neither going harsh on yourself is. Basically, self-negation and self-criticism would have negative impact on the way you view the whole PMO addiction.
Perceive relapses as a part of the recovery from this addiction. Break the chain from the bad habbit by replacing it with new fulfilling hobbies and activities.

Patience is one of the main keys you shall be using for a successful PMO-free journey. You should consider to stop overthinking the relapses. Carry on and focus on the future to avoid potential new failures.
As I said, fill up your timetable with new activities. Perhaps you should consider taking cold showers? They help a lot. Perhaps doing some sports? Running, going to the gym, various home exercises, swimming, playing football with friends, your call. The list goes on; attempt spending more time outdoors or hanging out with friends. Read books, listen to healthy music, meditate; I also advise to start a diary, in order to have a clear observation on your progress.

Good luck! For your relief, I discovered NoFap last September. My first real streak came in December with a total of 6 days. Then, I continued to fail miserably with my attempts for abstinence. Then 13th March came and look where I'm now. Keep in mind the idea of ESCAPING THE VICIOUS CIRCLE. Get rid of the negative thoughts and keep implied in your head only positive ones. Wish you success, mate.

There's nothing wrong with coffee. I drink a lot of coffee because I have to work overnight and I haven't fapped since december. My hormones are fine.

I have been here for over a year now, and the longest I have gone is 76 days without porn and 35 days without masturbation. It is the toughest challenge I have ever done, I have alot of relapses behind me. I am still trying to fully reboot. Dont give up, and know that there are more people than you that dont make it in the first, second and third try and so on and so on.

Yeah, same observation applies to me! Coffee doesn't affect me at all in PMO context or anything related to sexual urges/thoughts/cravings.
