Definitely faked. The moon isn't that big, its the size of a basketball. And it's actually much closer then we think... about a mile up. Also the earth is flat.

Due to the space race and the political stuff at the time, I am not sure, but I wouldn't be suprised if it was fake, not that it matters anymore to be honest.
