I am frustrated with this I don’t know why I am writing this, but one thing which I am really concerned that I have achieved my 10 days mark, which I haven’t achieved for year.
Although this nofap thing is good but I think I should just end this as I should start with smaller number of days.
I think just masturbate and end this!
Why shouldn’t I? 10 days too much for a addict like me?

@Charles Dera, instead you could spend time reading posts here and develop the techniques that will carry you through to 90 or 180 days

That's your addicted mind, dude. You're doing great! Why break your streak?

I've been where you are, I've reset/relapsed countless times but guess what? It doesn't help. You get that brief moment of pleasure then go back to feeling just as bad if not worse. Why did you start nofap? To improve your life in some way? Is masturbation really going to help you do that?

Sure, if that's what you want to do then do it. Is that what you want to hear? Then you can experience how the let down that giving in to your addiction feels. Then you can build another small streak and then let yourself down again. Rinse, repeat. for ever and ever and ever. Is that what you really want?
Or you can build your streak into something big and beautiful and be pleased with your self in a good way.The choice is always yours.

  7. I'd advise you not to do it. It doesn't help. It sets you back more than a day, believe me. It sucks to keep starting over.

  8. You will gain absolutely nothing from relapsing. I was in a similar boat (14 days) thought since I got a long streak I could reward myself. Now I haven't got a 14 day streak in 2 months.

    Make the correct decision.

If you are new to this then don't focus on that. Focus on non-masturbation. If you focus on when you can do it again you'll be tempted to do it again

I think you should decide what to to with your life. It seems like you are a newbie. You should learn everything about pornography addiction. If you understand clearly behind of the addiction, you will get to the point, recently humans invented high-speed internet pornography which gives super-normal stimulus, it gives us as mammals the dopamine rush and we like it. It is a new phenomenon. Actually pornography leads hypersexual thoughts, hypersexual thoughts leads to dopamine high which is the best pleasurable thing ever in the nature.

    Read this: https://www.yourbrainonporn.com/rebooting-porn-use-faqs/what-about-masturbation-without-porn/

You have to focus mainly pornography and affects that altered the brain. It is the big brother. But, for me personally, even masturbation without pornography did not work. Yes, if you can do it without pornography in some way, you damage less your brain. However if you deeply addicted to pornography such a young age, and have used internet pornography for many years, you hardwired your brain to unending novelty, -high speed internet porn- also known as artificial sexual stimulation, your brain connected more it from real human connection. If you masturbate, you can remember how you highed with internet porn. You can eventually back to internet porn. Your brain craves, if you addicted, it wants more dopamine.

This was the question what confused my mind for many years. And I finally understood masturbation creates a connection with pornography as an addict. It doesn't matter how could I reboot. Even after 150 days with no arousal method, a successful reboot, I masturbated once and twice... and in the end I see myself in front of porn sites.

Also masturbation itself, is not a fulfilling activity. You masturbate, even you did not fantasize about porn subs or sexual thoughts, you get nothing.

If a method works for you then go ahead. It is your life. Practice the best option for which contributes. I mean do whatever works for you.

In addition, I highly recommend you to read William's post on RN:

    Good luck with your journey!

Trust me, that mentality is just going to set one up for addiction. Whenever I think of that, I instantly relapse, HARD.

Just think of it this way, a lot of addictive behaviors could be considered "normal" for most people, but NOT if it's an addiction in the person doing it, as then it is not healthy, AT ALL.

The best thing to do (if you want to get ahead in life) is to be a man and deny yourself this. Trust me, abstaining is a lifelong process, and you should NEVER stop this.

I know how you feel just hit the 14 day mark and the cravings are starting to get really bad for me as well.

    Push through the urges!!

    You can do this!!

Someone else has told me the 10-15 day mark has pretty bad urges as well as the 30 day mark once you pass certain milestones they get easier. For me my toughest was the 7 day mark once past that getting 13 was pretty doable. Rinse and repeat with every hurdle completed it becomes easier. Stay strong
