What’s up fellow fapstronauts, I’m AAbo23. This is some new territory and my first e-community I’ve ever joined that wasn’t gaming. Being a gamer, I stay in a lot and have access to internet which means I have access to porn. The internet isn’t really the problem as much as my porn watching is. I discovered porn around the age of 12 or so and have been watching it almost every other day if not every day since then. Just turning 23 yesterday(thank you for the birthday wishes)this is something I don’t want to continue. I heard about NoFap about 2 years ago and didn’t really think anything of it and continued to hear about it. Doing my own research lead to my own delusions that “I don’t watch porn everyday” or “I don’t have a problem” but little did I know what I was doing to myself. I started to feel less energy, motivation, and confident. While gaming scores you points on leader boards, it doesn’t score much with the ladies but watching porn ruined what ever confidence I did have to just start a conversation with a women. I feel like I cant make eye contact sometimes. I tried doing this on my own but I just keep relapsing. I try other distractions like reading, hiking, and meditating but that fix keeps me coming back. I need a little bit more help from someone who understands. Take care and I hope we can power through this together

Just know your going to have a huge urge and this will be your test. It's going to be uncomfortable and challenging to resistresist. Keep your common sense and stick to your goal. Props to you for doing this in the first place good luck and try to keep yourself busy.

Welcome. You're in completely the right place. This is a super supportive community, and you'll get loads of people cheering you on and offering tips & advice etc. I'd really recommend keeping a journal thread going somewhere on here - it give you a way of seeing how far you've come, monitoring to see if there are any common themes etc. and staying accountable. It also helps everyone else to learn from what you're doing, or suggest things you might have missed.

    Good luck!
