On day 26. I have noted some things which are so undesireable for lack of a better word. My mind goes blank most of the time. Even when I'm with someone, I can't focus, I can't concentrate. Well, I have overcome extreme fatigue, but these blank mind is so bad and embarassing. I am so much in my mind, I can see what's happening in my immediate surroundings. I have like to switch a button in my mind for me to be aware of my immediate vicity. Its like I am day dreaming all through the day. Man, its like my mind is dead...its just like that. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks for your contributions.

  2. You're not alone mate. Absentmindness is a common symptom among porn addicts, heck even drug addicts. The only way to cure this is TIME and STOPPING PORN, INDEFINTELY.

  3. Sounds familiar. Brainfog has been so thick sometimes that I've had trouble understanding a simple written sentence, like a few words. It's like an old engine that isn't starting. Often times I've replied to a person without actually processing what he/she had said and then thought about the whole question afterwards. Meditation 30 mins every day helps. If you can't meditate that much in a single sitting, I recommend splitting it to two meditations. Mindfulness also helps, doing tangible stuff with your hands like gardening, cleaning, chopping wood or going out to nature and trying to notice everything there.

Thanks mate for the reassuring words. This thing must have tampered with the normal working of my brain. Hopefully, the brain fog will lift in due time.

I should start meditating. Currently, I am working out at the gym for like 2 hours on a daily basis. I haven't noticed any changes so far, but I have faith that I will make a difference by working out.

  6. No worries mate if you catch these symptoms early on and start tackling this seriously your recovery might be only round the corner. Take it from someone who struggled quitting for five years even when I was in the deep end with symptoms it only gets worse and recovery takes longer and longer each relapse! Best of luck!

It's encouraging that you are still putting up a fight brother. It's easier to give up when you begin to think how long it would take to heal, but every single damn day counts. Going through withdrawal symptoms is like walking under a dark, gloomy cloud without knowing when bright day light will shine in your heart and soul. I am doing everything I can to stay clean. I hope to write a post when I hit 60 days to reflect my progress. Cheers!

  8. Listen to this guy. You're actually doing damage to your brain while on withdrawal. Look up kindling on the forums. If you have withdrawals, then it's essential to quit PMO forever. It's very serious. Every relapse will put you on worse condition. Good thing is that our brains can heal, even from a serious binge PMO, but it can take up to 3 years as experienced on these forums.

Daaamn. Can anyone else relate when I say that it's as though there's a saboteur in my head? When I try to remember something, it's as if there's a force in my head blocking me from remembering whatever it is that I meant to recall, and the harder I try, the harder it blocks. It's like quicksand—the harder you struggle, the faster you sink. I'm not the only one, am I?

You are not alone brother. That's exactly my situation over the last 1 month. I cant talk without pausing because words just disappear. I totally forget a word I wanted to pick into a conversation and that makes you weird.

I'm sorry we have to go through this. This is truly PAWS at its worst (at least for me). It messes with school, career and social life alike, because you can't establish a proper, natural connection with anyone; you have to force everything.

Stay on it, no matter what. Remember that you're not alone, and that this will pass in time. Here's a good read for motivation: https://www.nofap.com/forum/index.php?threads/paws-sexual-exhaustion-1-5-years.175077/#post-1499104
