Do you know a free porn blocker ?

I posted the same question a couple of weeks ago on here. Almost no response, which seems strange to me because a porn blocker is a necessary thing on a nofap journey. Well to me at least. I've had no luck fing a free one, now I have a program called Contentbarrier which costs about 40 dollars per year. Just downloaded it so don't know how it works. I hope other people on here have other suggestions.

 

You could get your internet provider to put on a child protector on your service. Which will stop you from entering those sites, however do bear in mind that it will stop you from entering gambling and other over 18 websites.

Just a suggestion.

 

Guide for Smartphones:
1. Download SPIN Browser
2. Use App-lock (settings) or download an lock
-app
3. Create an pin an write these pin on an paper.
Give these paper for 30days to a friend or hide it somewhere outside your home.
4. Block all other browsers, app store, Instagram etc.

These should help.

 

I don't use porn blocker because I should not be afraid to relapse. Because I won't because I quit and that's a choice I make. NoFap isn't really about rebooting. It's about taking control over yourself and deciding your own fate and actions. If you are afraid of relapsing due to porn, you're wrong.

You're afraid of yourself and that's something that you absolutely need to adress and face. Porn blocker won't stop you from being scared of that part of you.

 

Well, to each his own but I have P blockers now set up on my mac and my phone, and it works. I can't access porn so I don't have the debate in my head all day of "Shall I watch or relapse". This takes away so much anxiety. I agree that in the end, you have take control. But sometimes you have to accept that you're powerless in a situation. And by setting P blockers I'm asserting power over my situation. Setting pornblockers is also a form of taking control. It's an act of seeing my own shortcomings and making sure that I don't relapse. I never had a streak like this that went that easy.

At first I was set on doing it without pornblockers. Otherwise, what's the use? I have willpower don't I? What's the use of Nofap without willpower? That's something I need to train too right? Now I know that was just my brain trying to sabotage. But as I said, everyone has their own path. I'm how really curious how your nofap journey will be without pornblockers SirReal!

 

Cold-turkey is not a porn blocker, but you can choose which websites to block access for, including for an infinite time. I started with the most favorite xxx websites that I had and gradually kept adding on to the list. But, I agree with other posters, that self-control is more powerful tool than a porn blocker.

IN some countries they would all be executed, every single employee. Hell, in CHINA they would all be executed. that is a fact.

you can just put DNS servers into your DNS with porn block, there's several free ones

 

Blocking the porn won't help, as then your mind starts looking at mundane TV shows/movies to satisfy the urge. Everyone does fantasize about a particular actress or a movie scene and then you have soft-core porn in plenty.

I approve this!! There is one thing you can do to make it better and that is installing 'manage spin'. It's an app that works with SPIN browser to block any other browser you have on your phone or about to install. It's something I definitely recommend if you are looking to block other browsers, makes it a lot easier.

 

Does it matter if it's a blocker that's easy to bypass? This is something I find strange with people who use blockers, if you can get passed it relatively easily then how is it blocked?

I have a system that is near impossible for me to bypass.

If you don't mind using an easy blocker you could just change your dns settings to clean browsing dns, simple.
